Hello Kitty Island Adventure: 7 Best Island Visitors
Visitors in Hello Kitty Island Adventure can stay in your cabins for a few days, and even potentially move in! Here are some of the best visitors.
One visitor that can eventually come to the island is My Melody’s Grandpa. The process of inviting him takes a while, and he has some specific requirements, so let’s take a look at what you need to do in order to unlock him and set up a cabin. We’ll also take a look at how to invite him permanently.
Friendship Requirements For My Melody’s Grandpa
In order for My Melody’s Grandpa to visit, you’ll need to reach friendship level 18 with My Melody. Additionally, you’ll need to at least meet the following two characters.
Once you’ve met all these requirements, My Melody’s Grandpa will be able to visit on a rotating schedule of every four weeks. We highly suggest looking at the Visitors tab of the menu; you’ll be able to see his travel status here. For example, when we looked at this, it was noted that My Melody’s Grandpa would be traveling in two days.
How To Set Up A Cabin For My Melody’s Grandpa
My Melody’s Grandpa has a few requirements, which you can find below.
- Have 3x Rocky items
- Have 3x Volcanic items
- Have 3x Metal Items
- The cabin needs to be in the Seaside Resort.
While My Melody’s Grandpa is temporarily visiting, you will need to keep these items out for him to come. Once he becomes a permanent resident, you can remove them and decorate however you want. Additionally, you can relocate him elsewhere.
Rocky Items
There is a wide variety of Rocky items in the game. If you want actual furniture items, you can use three pieces of Rustic Furniture. Furniture items of this type can be purchased from My Melody’s shop, costing varying amounts of Feathers and Shinies (these are the purple hexagon items found in Gemstone Mountain).
The three Rocky items don’t need to be furniture; you can also toss down fish or critters with this tag, such as the Banded Spelunker or Frondhawk. We suggest sticking with Rustic Furniture, as it fills out the room nicely, and you will probably already have a few pieces on hand.
The simplest way to fulfill this requirement is to put down three Mountain Soundtracks, which are made from one Mechanism, five Feathers, and five Shinies.
Volcanic Items
You’ll also need three Volcanic items on display. As with the Rocky tag, these don’t need to be furniture. If you are going for the furniture route, you can use pieces from the Tropical Furniture set. These can also be purchased from My Melody’s shop.
The simplest way to fulfill this requirement is to put down three Volcanic Souvenir Dolls. These are made with one Fabric, one Woodblock, and five Obsidian Shards.
Metal Items
Lastly, you will need to place three Metal items in the room. There are not that many items with this tag; you can find all four items listed below.
- Ingot
- Microphone
- Sounds of Steel
- Volcanic Guitar
Since you can place multiple of the same item, we suggest just placing three Ingots down. There is no way to make any of these items appear natural, but once My Melody’s Grandpa becomes a permanent resident, you can remove them.
How To Invite My Melody’s Grandpa As A Permanent Resident
In order to permanently invite My Melody’s Grandpa to stay on the island, you’ll need to raise his star rating to five. This is done by completing daily quests for him.
Each time he visits, there is a chance that one of the daily quests is one for him. This isn’t guaranteed if you have a lot of guests, so whenever he is visiting, be sure to look at your daily quests. There are five possible quest options, which have the following objectives.
- Climb to Icy Peak (you just need to visit; we suggest just teleporting to the mailbox here)
- Go to Cloud Island
- Craft Meditations on Resilience
- Craft a Volcanic Guitar
- Take a picture at the Caldera
Once his star rating is high enough, My Melody’s Grandpa will ask to stay. When you accept this, you can freely decorate his cabin however you want.
