How to Get Bolts in Raft

After drifting on your raft for a couple of hours, it’ll be time to take your survival to the next level using Metal. One of the key items that you can craft using Metal is a Bolt.

Whether you plan on harvesting as many resources as possible or starting to explore Raft‘s story, you will need Bolts at some point. As such, here’s a detailed rundown on what you need to know about Bolts in Raft, including how to get them and what to use them for.

How to Get Bolts in Raft

Unless you find Bolts in crates on abandoned rafts or islands, the only way to get them is by using Metal. In Raft, players can find Metal and turn it into a Metal Ingot in the Smelter. Then, they can take the Metal Ingot to the Research Table and research it to unlock all the linked recipes, including Bolts.

Make sure to click Learn next to every recipe. Otherwise, you won’t be able to craft the corresponding item.

Upon doing this, you will be able to craft one Bolt using one Metal Ingot in the Resources section of the crafting menu. As with other craftable resources, you can craft Bolts directly from a different item’s recipe. For example, if you’re making an Antenna, click on the Bolt in the list of required resources to craft it.

All Crafting Recipes Using Bolts in Raft

The majority of mid-game items and stations require Bolts in order for players to craft them. If you have just got your hands on Bolts, you should craft the Antennas for the Receiver to start looking for larger islands and story POIs.
