The last few upgrades for Barrow-Dyad are now available in Destiny 2’s
Heresy episode. Unlocking the last few upgrades for this weapon will require you to acquire a new set of Taken Osseous Fragments aboard the Dreadnaught. But unlike the previous set of fragments, these Taken Osseous Fragments may only be found in a specific Strike.

Here is the location of every Taken Osseous Fragment in Destiny 2: Heresy.
Today, we’ll be looking at where to find all six hidden Taken Osseous Fragments in the reprised Sunless Cells Strike. You can find all six of these in a single run, so you should be able to finish this in a few minutes. Get the fragments, clear the Strike, and then return to Eris’ flat to start your journey towards Barrow-Dyad’s next set of upgrades.
Taken Osseous Fragment #1
- Location: Mission Start (The Founts)
The first Taken Osseous Fragment is located in the hallway that connects the Mausoleum and The Founts. Right when you see “The Founts” appear on your screen, run to the end of the hall to find the fragment.
Taken Osseous Fragment #2
- Location: Mission Start (The Founts)
From the first fragment, wrap around the wall on your right and look up the wall. Jump up to find the Taken Osseous Fragment.
Taken Osseous Fragment #3
During the Channelers of Terror section, instead of walking into the center of the room to fight the Taken horde, run to the bottom-left corner of the lower floor and look for a fragment. Assume the exit door is the front of the room in this context. The fragment will be hiding on top of some dormant Hive machinery.
Taken Osseous Fragment #4
During the Asylum encounter, look for a diagonal support you can walk on near the entrance of the arena. It’ll be below the ledge to your left. Run down the ramp to claim the fragment.
Taken Osseous Fragment #5
This fragment is located under the bridge in the Asylum arena. To reach it, look down into the abyss and deploy your Ghost. The pulse your Ghost emits will reveal hidden platforms you hop onto. Follow the path to reach the fragment under the bridge.
Taken Osseous Fragment #6
- Location: After the Subjugator encounter
You’ll find this fragment right after you complete the combat encounter with the Subjugator. In the room with multiple hanging lanterns, hop up a platform that’s directly across from the entrance. The fragment will be lying next to the wall.
