Bleach High School Warfare Turned The Series Into School-Themed Anime

BLEACH usually celebrates April Fools’ Day with creative jokes, and this year Tite Kubo gave us a glimpse of what BLEACH would be like if it were a school-themed series. However, since Japan is a few hours ahead of many countries, fans around the world may be confused by the news they see on March 31, depending on their time zone.

This year and last year, BLEACH dropped “information” about Bleach High School Warfare on April 1 (in Japan’s time zone). High School Warfare is a kind of project in which Tite Kubo re-imagines Bleach in a school setting.

Tite Kubo Drops Visuals for Bleach High School Warfare

Tite Kubo posted new visuals on his social media profile, featuring many characters reimagined as high school students. Along with the illustrations, he also posted a video with the message “Happy April Fools”. Check it out:

Bleach High School Warfare Dropped a Dating Sim in 2024

While it seems that Kubo focused on the girls this year, last year Kubo not only focused on the boys, and a dating sim was added to the official BLEACH website. In fact, it is still possible to access the website and play the game. Unfortunately, it is only available in Japanese.

Fans Thought It Was A Real Project

Even though Kubo confirmed that it was an April Fool’s joke, some fans were surprised and thought it was a new project — and a good portion of them even got really excited about it, only to find out later that it was just a joke. Kubo actually seems to be quite a fan of April Fools’ Day, as he usually makes “official jokes” on this date. Maybe we will see more of Bleach Highschool Warfare next year.

Of course, it could turn into a real project one day; Fate/strange Fake also started as an April Fool’s joke and turned into a long-running official series.

When Will BLEACH TWTBY Part 4 Be Out?

Bleach: A Thousand-Year Blood War Part 4 was officially announced in December 2024, and fans have been waiting for more information about the release date. This will be the final season of the anime, so there’s a lot of hype around it.

Unfortunately, no further news has been revealed. According to rumors, it will take a while for the series to debut, as Studio Pierrot is reportedly focusing on Naruto‘s special anniversary series for now. It seems that Bleach TYBW Part 4 will not be out this year, but many factors seem to point to a 2026 release.
