Hogwarts Legacy: How To Get All Brooms

Hogwarts Legacy allows players to obtain a variety of unique brooms, but not all of them are easy to get.

Since only a relatively small number of Battle Arenas exist in Hogwarts Legacy, some players may struggle to locate each of them. To make matters trickier, accessing a Battle Arena requires the player to complete a puzzle. The puzzles are relatively easy to solve, but the enemies waiting inside these Battle Arenas are usually incredibly powerful and often challenging to beat.

Updated March 28, 2025 by Gemma Johnson: Hogwarts Legacy’s various Battle Arenas allow players to test their combat skills with a wand by fighting against waves of challenging enemies. Battle Arenas are not only a fun option for those looking for something to do after completing the main story, but they also reward players with special gear for completing them. They are also an ideal way for players to farm XP, complete Duelling Feat combat challenges, and test out any builds they want to try.

However, given the size of the game’s open-world map and everything there is to discover, some players might struggle to find the location of all the Battle Arenas in Hogwarts Legacy. Fortunately, our handy guide details everything players need to know about Hogwarts Legacy’s Battle Arenas, including how to find and unlock them. This update also includes information about the enemies players can expect and what rewards they can get after beating each Battle Arena.

What Are Battle Arenas in Hogwarts Legacy?

Fighting spiders and Dark Mongrels in Hogwarts Legacy

Battle Arenas in Hogwarts Legacy are combat areas that test players’ skills in combat by facing and defeating multiple waves of powerful enemies. While they are accessible quite early in the game, it is better to interact with them only when the player believes they are ready to take on some of the game’s most dangerous foes, as players can encounter foes of level 35.

Though players will likely have come across different variations of the enemies that appear in Battle Arenas, they should approach each arena cautiously, as the foes waiting inside can pack a considerable punch, so preparation is crucial. With this in mind, players should ensure they have only their best gear equipped before entering and should acquire as many Wiggenweld Health Potions as they can carry top-up health when needed.

In addition to Wiggenweld Potions, some players might also want to bring other potions to Battle Arenas to boost their stats temporarily and help take enemies down faster, such as the Maxima Potion, which increases spell damage for a limited time. There is also the option to stock up on combat plants to help even the odds, such as Chinese Chomping Cabbages and Venomous Tentacula.

Battle Arena Vases in Hogwarts Legacy

Finding a Battle Arena in Hogwarts Legacy can take some time if players don’t know where to begin looking, but unlocking one can be even harder to figure out initially. To enter a Battle Arena, players must destroy the vases littered around each one to pass through the statue entrance. Upon doing so, interacting with the statue in the ruin will initiate a challenging enemy rush.

Where To Find The Battle Arenas In Hogwarts Legacy

Finding a Battle Arena in Hogwarts Legacy

Overall, players can challenge their combat skills in a maximum of three Battle Arenas in Hogwarts Legacy, depending on whether they already own the Dark Art DLC pack. Those yet to purchase the Dark Arts Pack DLC can only access two Battle Arenas during their playthrough, the North Coast and South Coast Battle Arenas. However, those who have obtained the DLC can also travel to the Dark Arts Battle Arena and experience a series of battles specifically using Hogwarts Legacy‘s Unforgivable Curses.

Hogwarts Legacy: Landing Platform Locations

Landing platforms in Hogwarts Legacy are an optional exploration challenge and here’s how players can find their locations.

It’s worth noting that only the North Coast and South Coast Battle Arenas need to be beaten for players to obtain the Rising to the Challenges trophy and achievement, so players can feel free to ignore the Dark Arts Battle Arena if they are hoping to platinum the game.

South Coast Battle Arena Location And Rewards (Feldcroft Region)

The South Coast Battle Arena in the Feldcroft Region southwest of the map can be found by fast-traveling to Irondale and speaking with Althea Twiddle. Althea will inform the protagonist of a ruin southwest of Irondale that she believes harbors a fascinating secret. Doing so kicks off the E-Vase-Ive Manoeuvre side quest while allowing the player to access the first Battle Arena. Upon reaching the ruins southwest of Irondale, the player must destroy twenty vases to interact with the nearby golden-like statue and unlock the South Coast Battle Arena. Players should interact with the statue to get started, with five waves to complete to get the Ashwinder Outfit as a reward.

In terms of enemies, the South Coast Battle Arena begins with a single Armored Troll. However, the waves soon contain numerous and varied enemies from Dark Mongrels, Loyalist Rangers, Stoneback Dugbogs, and more, with two level 35 Trolls (Armored and Fighter) among various other enemies to fight in the challenging final wave. It can be a tough fight with so much happening on the battlefield, so players will likely need to stock up on plenty of Wiggenweld Potions before attempting this particular Battle Arena.

North Coast Battle Arena Location and Rewards (North Ford Bog)

To find the location of the North Coast Battle Arena in Hogwarts Legacy‘s North Ford Bog region, the player should fast-travel to the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame and travel north. The North Coast Battle Arena is located inside the nearby ruins, as pictured above. When players come across the ruins containing the Battle Arena, they must destroy the twenty vases scattered around the area before they can interact with the statue to initiate the first wave.

After completing all five waves of enemies in the North Coast Battle Arena, players get the Thief’s Coat as a reward. However, players can expect a challenging set of waves to get it, which include various combinations of enemies, like Venomous Matriarch spiders, Ashwinder Executioners, Inferius, Wolf Animagus, Aswinder Assassins, Ashwinder Rangers, Poacher Rangers, and even a massive Acromantula spider in the final wave.

Dark Arts Battle Arena Location and Rewards

Lastly, players who have purchased the Dark Arts Pack DLC can find the Dark Arts Battle Arena by fast-traveling to the East North Hogwarts Region Floo Flame and traveling northeast. Once at the ruins, the player must destroy just ten vases scattered around the area. After smashing all ten vases, players can interact with the statue to unlock and begin the Dark Arts Battle Arena.

Duellist's Mask Dark Arts Battle Arena reward in Hogwarts Legacy

Like the other two challenges, there are five waves of different enemies in the Dark Arts Battle Arena, and the types of enemies players encounter include Mountain Trolls, Inferius, Dark Wizards, and Loyalist Warriors. If players beat all five waves, they get the Duellest’s Mask cosmetic headwear as a reward, as pictured above, which is an ideal cosmetic option for anyone wanting to role-play as a Death Eater.

Given that players can use the Unforgivable Curses, this could be the least challenging Battle Arena for some players, but it will still test players’ abilities to fight waves of enemies while outnumbered. Players can also repeat Battle Arenas as much as they like to complete combat challenges, farm XP, or just for fun.

Interestingly, even if players pre-select what spells they want for the Dark Arts Battle Arena, their spell loadout will automatically switch to Unforgivable Curses, as the Dark Arts Arena is effectively a place where players can use each of the following Unforgivable Curses: Avada Kedavra, Crucio, Imperio, and the Blasting Curse, Confringo, with Unforgivable Curses breaking all Shield Charms. That said, players can still use Ancient Magic finishing moves and launch obstacles at enemies from the environment to mix up their combat options.
