Mecha BREAK concluded its final open beta, and now eyes are on the future of the game and its upcoming release.
But despite the game being (relatively) close to its predicted release date, we don’t actually know too much about Mecha BREAK’s content plan and future updates. Luckily, thanks to a recent interview by Esports.net with the game’s executive producer, the game’s upcoming update format and details of an ambitious plan for the IP have been revealed.

Mecha BREAK Will Feature Seasonal Releases of New Mechs and Maps
In an interview with Esports.net, Mecha BREAK’s lead producer and Amazing Seasun CEO, Kris Kwok, detailed how Mecha BREAK will receive updates and new content.
“Mecha BREAK will be updated by season. So for every season we’ll roll out new a Striker and new 6v6 maps and also for the Mashmaq game mode we will introduce new PvE bosses and also more PvE content.”
The length of the seasons was not disclosed but it was implied to be several months, with multiple seasons a year. That means multiple new Strikers, maps, and other content each year. All as part of the Mecha BREAK’s free-to-play model.

Mecha BREAK plans its expanded IP, including figures, an anime, and manga
Beyond this, Kris shared his expanded vision for the Mecha BREAK universe.
“I have a bigger vision outside of the game, of course. So not just the game, but also the IP, the universe. For example, we are going to develop like an animated show or maybe a manga.
We already developed figures, standees, merchandise. Our vision is to build this game, animated, manga universe and for it to include a whole franchise within it.”
Many of these figures and standees were on display at the Mecha BREAK Invitational, with some merchandise even finding itself into the hands of lucky attendees. But Mecha BREAK seems poised to go far beyond just some prototype figures and merchandise
We already know that Mecha BREAK was inspired by the likes of Mobile Suit Gundam, but it seems the game also looks to follow in the footsteps of that series with an expansive and engaging universe behind it.
