One of the sweet innovations of Assassin’s Creed Shadows can be seen in the way it spreads lots of story content across the map, with Kuji-Kiri points being a great example. These are tiny praying spots where Naoe remembers her past, allowing players to learn more about the childhood of the young assassin and the past days of Iga before Lord Nobunaga invaded.

Almost all Kuji-Kiri points are accessible as soon as the player gains the ability to free roam on the map, except for one that is tied to the main story progression. So, anyone who is thirsty for story content about Naoe and the game’s world can freely discover the Kuji-Kiri locations and complete the memories. However, some of them include boss fights and will force players to face high-level enemies. Taking all of this into consideration, here’s where to find all Kuji-Kiri points in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
Izumi Settsu Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
There is a total of 5 Kuji-Kiri spots in the starter region of the game, and they are fairly easy to discover as most of them are close together. Since this is the starter region, players will not be under-leveled in any of the memories, which makes it the best region to start clearing the Kuji-Kiri quests.
Tomiko’s Homestead
The first Kuji-Kiri spot is located inside the hideout, where Tomiko resides. You can discover the spot on the eastern side of the hideout in the middle of a small body of water.
Sacred Bridge
Move to the southeast from the hideout and pass over the small river. There is a tiny branch of the river that leads to a mountain, where the next Kuji-Kiri is located.
Eboshigata Hachiman Shrine
Remember the river you crossed earlier to get to the Sacred Bridge? Move along that river toward the west, and you will find a shrine on the northwest of Kawachi Heights, where the third Kuji-Kiri of the region is located.
Rolling Glen
Cross the river towards the northwest, and you will find the next Kuji-Kiri between two hills on the east of Osaka before reaching the main castle.
The Lumber Aisle
The final Kuji-Kiri in this region is located on the northwestern coast of Izumi Settsu. It is to the west of Amagasaki village, right next to the ocean.
Yamato Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Soni Highlands

Nyoirinji Temple
Move south from the latest Kuji-Kiri and get past the wide river that passes throughout the region. There is a small temple northeast of Yoshino, which is where the Kuji-Kiri is located.
Kii Kuji-Kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
This region also features two Kuji-Kiri points: one on the southeast and one on the southwest of Kii. This is also the highest-level region in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, make sure to be well-prepared for potential fights.
Shores Of Kii
Follow the river in Sazae Oni Shores to the south until you reach the ocean. Now, hug the coast and move towards the east. You will find the Kuji-Kiri along the road and adjacent to the ocean.
Nachi Falls
Move all the way to the eastern part of the region. This Kuji-Kiri is located in the southeast of Kumano Sanzan. It’s technically next to a waterfall that turns into a river and joins the ocean in the south of Kii.
