How To Unlock Master Builder In Clash of Clans
To unlock Master Builder in Clash of Clans, you need to reach Town Hall level 4. Once that’s done, use the boat to travel to the Builder Base, where the Master Builder will give you a tour of the area. He lives in the Builder Hall, which serves as the main base on this new island, much like the Town Hall does in the Home Village.
This tiny worker deals with all construction in the Builder Base, from Army landmarks to Resources, Defenses, and Traps—just like all the builders in the Home Village. However, this area also has unique buildings, including the Battle Copter, Healing Hut, Reinforcement Camp, and more.
On top of all that, Master Builder can also visit your Home Village to perform Gear Up tasks, improving certain defensive buildings. Currently, he can upgrade Cannons, Archer Towers, and Mortars, giving them a second mode (similar to their Builder Base versions) and allowing them to deal more damage. You can switch between these variants using the Burst option. However, Master Builder isn’t available for Gear Up right away— you’ll need to progress a bit before you can request his help.

Once everything is set, click on one of the eligible defense structures in your Home Village and select the ‘Gear Up’ option. Master Builder will then sail over and begin the special upgrade. Just a quick heads-up: Master Builder must be free in the Builder Base to take on Gear Up tasks. If he’s already working on something, he won’t be available unless you have B.O.B unlocked.
