Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy is a classic first-person adventure game made by French developer Microids. It was originally released for the PS1 and PC in 1999 before being ported to iOS and OS X—nowadays called macOS—in 2011. A remake of the game was announced in March 2024 and is currently targeting an April 2025 release.

Ahead of the remake’s debut, the original Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy was treated to a 100% discount on Steam, which went live on Friday, March 21. The ongoing offer will be available for just a few days, ending on Monday, March 24, at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm CET. Aside from offering a puzzle-solving experience rooted in the design sensibilities of a bygone era, Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy is also notable for serving as the prequel to the popular Syberia series, which reuses its setting created by the late game designer Benoît Sokal.

As for the Amerzone remake, that game is currently scheduled for launch on April 24. The remake will be simultaneously released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The base game will retail for $39.99, while its Digital Deluxe Edition will be priced $10 higher. The latter will include some 4K artwork, a mediabook, the game’s original soundtrack, and several animated short stories tying into the world and lore of Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy.

Originally released in November 2024, Xone is an action game that seeks to serve as a faithful interactive adaptation of the Beyblade X series. As is to be expected of any Beyblade game worth its salt, Xone offers a plethora of spinner customization options, though some of its more esoteric customizations are locked behind a paywall. The Dran Digital Color Choice Booster is one such paid DLC, or at least it’s planned to be. Namely, the add-on debuted on March 21 free of charge and will only transition to a paid DLC pack on April 3. The booster features three Buster Dran Blade types, six 1-60 Ratchet types, and half a dozen Shibuya-inspired types of A Bits.
