Coda weapons are upgraded variants of Infested weapons, some of which haven’t seen the light of day since the early days of Warframe
. If you can best the Technocyte Coda, you can purchase some incredibly strong Coda weapons from Eleanor in Hollvania. The Live Heartcells aren’t going to spend themselves.

The Sporothrix is one of Warframe’s strongest sniper rifles. Here’s how to get it.
Some of these Coda weapons are entirely unique, such as the Dual Coda Torxica. These dual pistols spread spores on kill, debuffing targets with damage vulnerability and Cold status. Today, we’ll be looking at how to obtain these pistols and showcase a decent build you can use to get through most mid-game content.
How To Obtain The Dual Coda Torxica
The Dual Coda Torxica is obtained from Eleanor’s shop in Hollvania. Purchasing this weapon will require Live Heartcells, a currency type you earn from slain Infested Liches, otherwise known as
Technocyte Coda
. You’ll need ten to purchase this weapon, which is equivalent to a single Lich kill.
Once purchased, you’ll be able to further upgrade it through Valance Fusion, a process of infusing other copies of Dual Coda Torxica into itself to increase the weapon’s progenitor bonus—the weapon’s intrinsic elemental damage bonus. This bonus can go up to 60 percent.

The Dual Coda Torxica is a pair of automatic dual pistols that spread spores on kill, debuffing targets with Cold status. Once you land a kill, nearby targets will get infected with a spore, inflicting Cold status and increasing all damage they receive from the Torxica by 50 percent. Enemies can have up to three spores on them at a time.
Beyond that, the Torxica is your average bullet hose secondary. This weapon has solid base damage, critical stats, and a decent status chance for hybrid builds. It has a fairly slow fire rate, however, so you might want to consider fire rate buffs from mods or the rest of your loadout to compensate.
Best Dual Coda Torxica Builds
We’ll be looking at one Dual Coda Torxica build today that lays down a solid foundation for late-game expansion. This build won’t handle high-level content on its own, but with some investment and the right loadout, this weapon can chew through enemies with ease.

Without any investment, you’re looking at a fairly standard pistol build here. Hornet Strike scales your base damage, while Galvanized Diffusion gives you a ton of multishot. Lethal Torrent helps with the weapon’s slow fire rate. You’ll then want an elemental combination of some sort. We’re using Corrosive and Heat with Primed Convulsion, Pistol Pestilence, and Scorch.
If you have a spare Arcane Adapter, you can install Secondary Merciless for more base damage or Secondary Shiver for a massive damage multiplier to targets debuffed with multiple Cold procs, something you’ll trigger quite easily through this weapon’s on-kill spore effect.
Once you have a base damage mod through an Arcane, drop Hornet Strike for Galvanized Aptitude.
For your remaining slots, look at installing critical mods. Primed Pistol Gambit and Primed Target Cracker greatly improve this weapon’s DPS, especially if you can pair it with another source of external critical chance like Arcane Avenger on your Warframe.
