Added to Cookie Run: Kingdom via the Match Made With Oven event, Black Forest Cookie comes with a very special skill that makes it work best when paired with her duo. But even without that, Black Forest Cookie is still a worthy character on her own that can shine with a wide variety of other cookies as well.

Cookie Run: Kingdom – Best Peach Blossom Toppings
This quick guide will share some toppings you can try to unlock Peach Blossom’s full potential in Cookie Run: Kingdom.
While players are encouraged to explore different builds with Black Forest Cookie, there are indeed a few builds that can make her a force to be reckoned with, especially knowing that she is a frontline cookie, so she is the one who needs to deal the most amount of damage, while also surviving long enough to serve as a damage shield against the cookies standing on the back.
Black Forest Cookie Skill And Lane
Leading the party forward, Black Forest Cookie is a frontline melee Charge fighter that deals damage to enemies in different ways. Aside from the basic melee attack, Black Forest’s primary skill is called Transform, which comes with massively improved attacking stats while also upgrading the regular attacks to deal damage to an area rather than a single target.
When Transform is about to end, Black Forest Cookie unleashes her Thorns, dealing damage at an extended range while also making every enemy that touches the thorns stun. The duration of this Transform state is 8 seconds, and it cannot be extended using toppings. However, using a cooldown-reduction build can help it to occur more often during a match, though it’s not a recommended build for this cookie.
Best Toppings Build For Black Forest Cookie: ATK
As a cookie that goes head-to-head with all the foes, Black Forest needs to have significantly high stats in attack. She is the one who deals and receives the first hits, so it’s important for the cookie to have a strong enough ATK to get rid of the enemies in a brief period and reduce the number of hits received in the meantime.
This is the reason why going with an ATK-based topping for Black Forest is quite reasonable. After all, players want Black Forest to keep knocking down the enemies as a melee unit, and losing her will put the middle-lane cookies in front, which do not have the skills to go face-to-face with the enemies. So, 5 Searing Raspberry toppings will be a great build for Black Forest Cookie.
With Rare toppings fully upgraded, this will add a 45% buff to the ATK overall, which is more than enough for Black Forest Cookie to carry her team forward. This build, however, will leave the cookie with its base stats for the HP and DEF, unless some of the random stats for Searing Raspberry add something to them. In this case, it’s essential to have at least one healer in the party to extend the survivability of the Black Forest Cookie.
The 45% boost in ATK will turn into a much bigger number when the cookie is in the Transformed state or deals damage through Thorns, as the former is 170% of ATK and the latter is 1,058% of the same stat.
Best Toppings Build For Black Forest Cookie: HP And DEF
Players who already have some good damage dealers in the middle or rear lanes might just need their frontline cookie to be more of a protective shield than another damage-heavy unit. This is when a build that can help the Black Forest Cookie to live longer will come into play.
There are multiple defensive builds that can be used for Black Forest Cookie, but the combination of HP and DEF stat boosters is probably the most effective for a variety of situations. Black Forest Cookie already comes with a big health pool, which is why dedicating two Healthy Peanut toppings to the build should be enough. The Epic version of this topping will offer 9% additional HP after a maxed-out upgrade.
The rest of the topping spots can be occupied by Hard Walnut, granting 9% DEF for each fully upgraded rare variant. The DEF stat for Black Forest Cookie also looks good, though not as shiny as her health pool.

Cookie Run Kingdom: Star Coral Cookie Build and Best Toppings
Star Coral Cookie is the latest addition to the Cookie Run Kingdom, and this support unit could be the new meta game-changer that players need to win.
This combo will grant the cookie an 18% boost in HP as well as a 27% boost in DEF. Based on the build and the overall party composition, players can play with the combo of Hard Walnut and Healthy Peanut.
Other defense-focused toppings that can be used include Solid Almond, Hearty Hazelnut, and Fresh Kiwi, applying DMG Resist, CRIT Resist, and Debuff Resist respectively.
Best Biscuit Build For Black Forest Cookie
Since Black Forest is a Charge cookie, she can only benefit from the Chewy Beascuit, which grants ATK and HP by default, along with up to four other random bonus effects based on the rarity of the biscuit.
The basic version of the biscuit will add 3% to ATK and HP, which could help even further with the Searing Raspberry toppings to boost the overall ATK. Increasing the level of the biscuit will add up to the ATK and HP boost granted by equipping it.
The variety of biscuits depends on their random bonus effects, which is something players really don’t have control over. As such, it’s not as customizable as that of toppings, though even upgrading a common type of biscuit is still recommended to gain some stat bonus.
Recommended Cookies To Team Up With Black Forest Cookie
Having the Wedding Cake and Black Forest cookies alongside each other is almost a must-have combination. When these two cookies team up, they unlock unique buffs for each other that are not available otherwise.
For Black Forest Cookie, this buff comes in the shape of amplified buffs for the Transform skill. So, the cookie will have a 30% higher ATK SPD during the Transformation, while her chance to stun all the summoned creatures will ramp to 100%. Additionally, the summoned creatures will take 500% more damage while the cookie is in a Transformed state.
Since the Wedding Cake also has healing capabilities, this already helps by adding up to the amount of time that the Black Forest Cookie can sustain damage without falling out of the group. And this is a relief for players who want to proceed with an ATK-focused build rather than something else.

Cookie Run: Kingdom – Stormbringer Cookie Build & Best Toppings
Stormbringer is a Legendary Charge-type cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom, and building it properly will help players breeze through any hard stage.
Any other cookie that can help Black Forest use some more heals or stun enemies and prevent them from dealing damage to Black Forest is welcome, including but not limited to Frost Queen, Macaron, Caramel Choux, or Pure Vanilla cookies.
Another good combo is to pair the Black Forest with another Charge cookie on the frontline to lift the heavy weight off of her and have more units to deal with the enemies. Werewolf or Kumiho cookies are some of the good options for this combo.
How To Get Black Forest Cookie
While the Match Made In Oven event is live, players can spend an event-specific currency on a featured version of the gacha game to have an increased chance of drawing the Black Forest Cookie. A small amount of this currency can be earned every day for free, but there are also multiple milestones and challenges available that grant a lot of this currency.
After the event, however, it will be a lot harder to draw Black Forest, as it will join the massive amount of other cookies in the normal version of the gacha, and it would really depend on the player’s luck to get her on one of the draws.
