There are three locations aboard the Dreadnaught where you can summon a secret boss named Vorok, Sentinel Eternal. Defeating him rewards you with the Willbreaker Shard: Vorok, which is required to complete the Rites of the Deep questline in Destiny 2: Heresy. Vorok, Sentinel Eternal can only be summoned once per Nether run – regardless of the location.

Before you begin your hunt, however, make sure to pick up the Shattered Will: Vorok, Sentinel Eternal quest from the Shaping Slab in The Last City. This guide covers all possible spawn locations of Vorok, Sentinel Eternal, how to defeat him, and the rewards you can earn.
How To Find And Defeat Vorok, Sentinel Eternal
You can summon Vorok in three locations aboard the Dreadnaught: Mausoleum, Hall of Souls, and Trenchway. In each of these areas, you will find three braziers that can be lit to summon Vorok. However, these braziers can be a little tricky to locate. Despite being classified as a mini-boss, Vorok does not have much HP, making it fairly easy to defeat with almost any loadout.
Vorok can be debuffed, takes additional Precision Damage, and is a relatively straightforward fight. Most burst-DPS Supers, such as Chaos Reach, Thundercrash, Nova Bomb, Golden Gun, Needlestorm, etc. can easily one-shot him. As for his attacks, he does not have a lot of mechanics. Aside from his standard melee swings, he can also use Strand to pull you toward him. However, this ability deals minimal damage (even on Expert), so there is no need to worry about it.
We also recommend luring him away from other enemies in the area.
Additionally, make sure to defeat him before the area’s boss, as killing the boss despawns everything else.
Once defeated, a chest will spawn nearby containing Sigil Shards, Glimmer, and seasonal gear. You may also get a Minor Boon as an additional reward.
Hall Of Souls
In the Hall of Souls, head over to the central area where the final boss (Subjugator) spawns – this is the same location where the portal appears in the Court of Blades or the opening of the King’s Fall raid. Head underneath the middle platform to light three braziers to spawn Vorok, Excise Eternal.
Mausoleum
We recommend repeatedly launching Nether – Explore until you spawn at Mausoleum. From there, continue straight, and you will spot a Hive capture-plate on an elevated structure. Directly beneath it, you will find three braziers that can be lit to summon Vorok.
Trenchway
In the area where the Tormentor spawns, head to the far–left side (from the spawn–point) to spot three braziers – two of which are on a platform extending from the main path. As before, light these braziers to summon Vorok, Excise Eternal.
Aside from defeating Vorok, Excise Eternal, you will also need to eliminate a few Taken using Swords. Once completed, return to the Shaping Slab (Eris’ Apartment) in The Last City to get Willbreaker Shard: Vorok, which is needed to progress the Rites of the Deep questline.
