How To Unlock Every Secret Armor In Monster Hunter Wilds

Why do you hunt monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds? There are the story reasons, of course, and those done for the joy of the hunt. But a lot of the time, it’s because you just need the right materials to make the right piece of equipment. Most weapons and armor are themed after specific monsters. However, there are a few hidden ones.

As is the case with plenty of other Monster Hunter games, Wilds has some armor sets that can only be acquired through more unique methods, such as after finding rare materials or completing certain quests. There’s nothing that indicates these armor sets even exist, but we’re here to help you find them all.

What Are Secret Armor Sets?

They are exactly what they say on the tin. The vast majority of weapons and armor are styled after the monsters you defeat, and require mainly their materials to make them. The hidden sets instead rely on materials you might not even know exist, let alone unlock whole new sets. That’s what makes them secret, after all.

After unlocking even just one of the materials needed to make them, they are added to Gemma’s smithy to craft. Just make sure you actually remember where you got these items, because one will be nowhere near enough to create these full sets. They also need extra materials besides just the secret one needed to unlock them, though these ones tend to be much more common comparatively.

There are a few smaller items, such as the Kranodath Mail and Comaqchi Accessory that are unlocked by simply defeating the small monsters. As such, they are not listed below.
