There are a lot of items to be found in Monster Hunter Wilds. A dizzying amount, in fact. It’s very likely you’re picking up every item you come across with no real awareness of what it’s actually used for. That’s a good practice though, because you never know when a certain item will become relevant, and if it’s actually incredibly rare.

The Queensbloom Pollen is one such item. Gained from a wonderfully large flower, it’s far from the rarest item in the game, though it can only be acquired in certain conditions and as such is still easily missed. Let’s rather this elusive pollen and put it to use.
How To Get Queensbloom Pollen
Part of the reason Queensbloom Pollen is so hard to get is because it’s not an item you can just pick up. Instead, it comes from a plant that goes by the similar, but not identical, name of Queenblooms Rafflesia. This is a rather particular plant that only appears in the Scarlet Forest.
However, it is not always present. The Queenbloom Rafflesia only blooms during the Plenty, and does so randomly. There are plenty of different areas around the Scarlet Forest where the Queensbloom Rafflesia appears, though they do not all bloom at once. Instead, it would seem a random flower blooms each day, and then stays active for the rest of the Plenty.
They can be gathered from at any time of day after they have bloomed as long as the weather is still during the Plenty. They do not bloom at all during the Downpour or Fallow. Make sure to pick them up as soon as you see them.
As soon as they bloom, they can be selected from the menu so you can see exactly where they are, even if you’ve never gathered from them before.
Uses For Queenbloom Pollen
Queenbloom Pollen, like many Rarity Six Special Items, is used in trading. And unlike some other items, Queensbloom Pollen is used to trade with the denizens in the same area it was acquired. Namely, with Musarpeye of the Wudwud Hideout.
They will trade you with various different items, though none of them are exceptionally rare. There are a few cooking ingredients in here though, such as Jeweled Mullet Roe and Wild Herb, that can be helpful to top up on. So Queenbloom Pollen isn’t exactly the most high priority item to gather, though it’s nice to have all the same, even just for the extra Guild Points.
