If you’re in a biome, open the map to find the Environmental Overview screen. This will show a list of monsters on the map. Choose one and then save it as an investigation. You can hunt this monster later by opening the Quest board with Alma (or at camp).

It’s the same steps as starting an Investigation, but click on Begin Field Survey in the Environmental Overview screen instead to start the monster hunt immediately.

You can catch a Goliath Squid in Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest (Great Lake Shore).

Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest is the best place to catch a Whopper. We have a detailed guide here, but unfortunately, this trophy is probably the most annoying, as there doesn’t seem to be an easy way to cheat it.
Campmaster
Established Pop-Up Camps in 10 places.
Pop-up camps not created on the map will have blue butterflies around the campsites. Use your camp tool once standing in the right spot, and the Pop-Up Camp will be activated. Check out the locations for the Camps in the Plains to get you started.
Glamper
Customized a Pop-Up Camp.
Speak to the Palico that hangs out by your Pop-Up Camps. You can design your camps within the menu that appears.
A Keen-eyed Observation
Used the Binoculars to spot a gold-crown large monster.
After you get your essential tools, the binoculars can be used to check if a Large Monster is a crown monster. This means it is either the largest or smallest version of that monster. Check out this crown guide for more info.
Ride-or-Die Companion
Customized your Seikret or changed its decorations for the first time.
Complete Chapter 1-4 and then speak with Nona in Kunafa, Windsong Village.

You won’t need to worry about Artian Weapons until reaching Chapter 4 (the post-game) of MHW. But you’ll need to hunt Tempered Monsters to get special materials, craft the Artian weapon, and then reinforce said weapon to get it to its full potential.
