Status effect weapons let you apply negative in Monster Hunter Wilds. Here’s how they work.
Your Palico is easily your best buddy in the game, specifically in combat. The Palico is already doing so much in battle by healing you and taking the monster’s attention away from you, but you can further increase its utility by completing these side quests.
How To Begin The Healing Help Side Quest
The Healing Help side quest can be started by talking to your Palico at any base camp after you’ve completed Chapter 3 and defeated Zoh Shia. You can find your Palico standing near your tent inside the base camp.
The quest requires you to catch a Vigorwasp. Remember that the Vigorwasp is different from the Vigormantle bug, which heals you immediately and can be found while clinging to the terrain.
How To Catch A Vigorwasp For The Healing Help Side Quest
Vigorwasps are found all over the world, but a surefire way to find one is to head to the Oasis in the Windward Plains. You’ll find two Vigorwasps here that you can easily catch. You can also teleport to the Pop-Up Camp at Area 13 to arrive right next to the Oasis in the Windward Plains area.
In order to catch a Vigorwasp, you’ll need to switch to a capture net. You can find this option under the essential items wheel. Once you’ve selected the capture net, you’ll notice a square-shaped crosshair whenever you aim using your Slinger.
If you approach the Vigorwasp and aim using the capture net on your Slinger, you’ll notice the crosshair’s color darken. It means that you’re in range of capturing a valid target. Shoot the net, just as you shoot any other type of Slinger Ammo, and a net will pop out of it, capturing the Vigorwasp.
Rewards For Completing The Healing Help Side Quest
Once that is done, you’ll need to head back to the base camp to talk to your Palico and complete the quest. After you’ve talked to your Palico and completed the Healing Help side quest, your Palico will be able to summon a Vigorwasp in battle.
A Vigorwasp can be of exceptional help during battle because, unlike Vigormantle Bugs, the wasp produces healing in an area of effect that persists for a long duration and will continuously heal you as long as you remain in its area of effect.
