We take a look at which vanguard are easiest to play and which are worth the learning curve in Marvel Rivals.

Generally speaking, the achievements in the game aren’t as difficult as some other games, namely single-player ones, but a few of these will still require a good amount of time commitment and more than a little bit of luck.

King Of The Dead

As Black Panther, Land A Three-Player KO Streak In The Hall Of Djalia Map

For this trophy, you’ll need to get three quick KOs as Black Panther in the map Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda: Hall of Djalia. If you’re a good Black Panther player, then this won’t be as much of an issue, but if you’re not, good luck trying to get three kills in a short amount of time.

The character being nerfed in Season 1 makes this achievement a tad more difficult to obtain now, not to mention that it has to take place on a particular map only, which increases the amount of time it requires if you’re focusing on only this trophy but can’t get the right map due to randomization.

Justice For All

As Captain America, Land Three KOs With A Single Use Of Freedom Charge

Getting 3 eliminations with Captain America’s ultimate, Freedom Charge, can be difficult. This ultimate grants him bonus health and increases movement speed, but no damage bonuses, unfortunately.

Since Captain America isn’t much of a DPS, you can focus on low-health enemies to finish them off and get this trophy, but there will be some level of luck involved. Using a damage boost from either Rocket’s or Mantis’s ultimate abilities does make this a lot easier, though.

Perilous Portal

As Doctor Strange, Land One Terrain KO With The Portal

Doctor Strange opens a portal around Adam Warlock in the Marvel Rivals Practice Range.

For Perilous Portal, you will need to eliminate an enemy using a clever use of your portal, namely placing it at the edge of a map in an inconspicuous way.

Marvel Rivals: 9 Mechanics They Don’t Tell You About

Using these not so obvious mechanics can give you an advantage in Marvel Rivals.

When the game launched, it was a lot easier to trick opponents using Doctor Strange’s portal, but players have become far more aware of the Sorcerer Supreme’s tricks, so it’s a lot tougher to trick them now. Still, quick play is your best bet, as ranked mode players rarely fall for this trick anymore.

Deadly Bites

As Black Widow, Land Three KOs With Critical Hits In A Single Match

It’s no secret that Black Widow is arguably the weakest hero in Marvel Rivals. For this achievement, you’ll need to eliminate 3 enemies with a headshot using her sniper rifle in a single game of either Domination, Convergence, or Convoy.

Black Widow doesn’t have one-shot kill capabilities like Hawkeye, which already makes her relatively harder to play. The KO also has to be a critical hit (headshot) and not a normal hit, making this one of the more frustrating achievements in the game, given the character’s damage output.

It’s best to focus on slower-moving DPS and Healer characters for this achievement instead of quicker ones like Black Panther and Spider-Man.

4

Rage Uncaged

As Wolverine, Land Three KOs With A Single Use Of Last Stand

The Wolverine overview in Marvel Rivals.

For this one, you’ll need to use Wolverine’s ultimate ability, Last Stand, to get three eliminations. This one is a bit tricky since the ultimate doesn’t do a drastic amount of damage, and it’s better used to finish off enemies at lower health.

We’d love to see these lesser-known characters as heroes in Marvel Rivals.

You will also need Wolverine’s rage meter to be at full for maximum potency. The best way to get this is to focus on DPS and Healer characters in close proximity to each other, deal a decent amount of damage using your melee strikes to lower their health, and then pop in the ultimate to finish them off.

3

Way Of The Butterfly

As Psylocke, Contest The Mission Area For 60 Seconds In A Single Match

Marvel Rivals screenshot of way of the butterfly trophy.

For this one, you’ll need to hold off enemies for 60 seconds when trying to secure an objective. Psylocke is a flanker and not someone that can take on enemies head-on as much, which makes this achievement tougher to get.

On top of this, you have to contest the objective for a whopping 60 seconds, meaning there will be a lot of back and forth with several enemy opponents.

You can use Psylocke’s invisibility skill, Psychic Stealth, to temporarily get off the objective, get behind enemies, and flank them. Just make sure that the objective doesn’t get secured by the enemy team.

2

God Of Treachery

As Loki, Land One KO By Stabbing From Behind

The God of Mischief has the ability to backstab enemies when he’s positioned right behind them, but this doesn’t do a lot of damage. This is another trophy that is best obtained when focusing on low-health enemies, and using Loki’s invisibility to get right behind them.

This trophy does have a trick to it; the final hit doesn’t have to be from the backstab. You can backstab an enemy and then use Loki’s primary fire or a normal melee to finish off the opponent, but it has to be done very quickly to get the trophy.

1

Vicious Vines

As Groot, Imprison Four Enemies With A Single Use Of Strangling Prison

Marvel Rivals screenshot of vicious vines trophy.

Imprisoning just one or two enemies with Groot’s ultimate, Strangling Prison, can be tricky enough as it is; four enemies with a single use is pretty difficult.

You’ll need the enemies to be in close proximity with each other, and playing as Defense when on a Convergence or Convoy game mode is your best bet since there will be multiple characters pushing the payload, and this gives you a nice opportunity to reel them all in.
