Z-A Pre-Orders Will Come With A Free Sitting Cuties Plush

As expected, the main way Pokemon celebrated its birthday this week was by revealing a lot more about Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The only disappointing part of that reveal was the lack of a firm release date. That means we can’t pre-order the next Pokemon game yet, although we do now know the bonus being used that will entice us to commit to the game early through the Pokemon Center.

Even though you can’t pre-order Pokemon Legends: Z-A yet, the game already has its own page at the Pokemon Center. There, you can sign up for notifications to be among the first to be notified when pre-orders go live, but that’s not all. The Pokemon Company has also revealed pre-orders placed through the Pokemon Center will come with a free Sitting Cuties plush.

The three plushes being given away with copies of Legends: Z-A are the game’s now-revealed partner Pokemon – Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile. I’m still not sure why Game Freak has gone with two Johto starters and Tepig, best not to think about it too much. That you will get a free Sitting Cutie is the good news. The bad news is you won’t be able to choose which one of the three you get with your copy of the game.

You Won’t Be Able To Choose Which One You Get, Though

As soon as it was apparent which Pokemon we will have to choose from at the beginning of our Legends Z-A journeys, many of you will have made your selection. That might bother some of you when it comes to the plush you get. If you have already decided Chikorita will be your companion, there’s only a one in three chance you’ll be getting the plush to match.

If you’re like me and you’re struggling to decide which Pokemon to choose when the time comes, this pre-order bonus might be the sign you’ve been waiting for. I have now decided that I will leave that decision to fate, or more accurately the person who packages by pre-order, and choose whichever plush I receive as my partner Pokemon in Legends: Z-A.

Considering how well Pokemon games sell, there really wasn’t a need to throw in an incentive to make people buy Legends: Z-A. It’s nice to know we’ll be getting one, though. Not to mention the plushes being handed out are from one of Pokemon’s most popular lines. Beware it awakening something inside you if you’re not already a Sitting Cuties collector. Pokemon is in the process of turning every single ‘mon into a Sitting Cutie and so far, it’s up to Gen 6.
