Recently, Spy x Family finally disclosed the cover for volume 15 of the manga, and like the previous covers, the newest one has a manga character on it. This time, the character is none other than Martha. While most fans are happy that Spy x Family Volume 15’s cover is dominated by Martha, many will argue that she should have received one much sooner.
Spy x Family Has Grown Into A Massive Franchise
Spy x Family is written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. The manga began serialization on the Shonen Jump+ app in March 2019. The manga is serialized biweekly on the app, and it is among the many titles that are released simultaneously in English. Spy x Family shot to popularity in just a few months, after which, it was treated as one of Shueisha’s biggest prospects.
As the manga’s fame continued to rise, Shueisha didn’t waste time in announcing new projects related to the franchise. The series has a companion book called Spy x Family Official Fanbook: Eyes Only, which was released in May 2022. It was released in English by Viz Media.
Spy x Family has also been the recipient of multiple light novel adaptations.
Spy x Family Anime Has Been Phenomenal
One of the main reasons behind the series’ popularity has been the anime adaptation. A few years after the manga’s debut, it was announced that Spy x Family would get an anime adaptation that would be produced by CloverWorks and Wit Studio. The first season was released in 2022, and it ran for 25 episodes.
The positive reception of the anime led to the second season being announced almost immediately after the conclusion of the first one. The second season of Spy x Family was released in 2023, and it was listed for 12 episodes. After the season was over, it was confirmed that a film was in the works.
It was titled Spy X Family Code: White, and it was a completely original work and was not connected to the manga. The third season of Spy x Family is already in the works, and it will be released in October 2025.
