Among the many Reverse: 1999 characters, Getian is quite niche when it comes to his skills. He’s a 6-star Beast Afflatus who mainly functions under the Support class. His main goal is to increase your team’s Reality DMG, and unfortunately, that makes him not very versatile to use.
However, that doesn’t mean he’s any less necessary, as he is the perfect member to add to your Reality team. If Reverse: 1999 players ever want to switch up their tactics, or use certain teams for specific fights, then building Getian is the perfect option for you to invest in for the long run.

Lopera in Reverse: 1999 is a Support unit that works well as a Burn buffer and universal buffer in any team. Here’s how to craft a great Lopera build.
Getian Skills, Explained – Reverse: 1999
Out of all the Support units in Reverse: 1999, Getian is an extremely powerful one solely due to his unique mechanics. He’s made to support Reality DMG units and be extremely AP-friendly to them. You don’t need to care much about Getian’s first two skills, because all his damage dealing lies within his Ultimate. It’s recommended to move around his cards and keep building Moxie without casting anything. Once you have skipped a round, or his Ultimate is ready, cast it to summon a unique type of buff which creates a field that buffs all allies.
This field is extremely unique to the game as it also allows you to stack other buffs on top of it and boosts Reality damage by up to 40%. What’s great about this is that normal allied characters gain a +20% damage bonus and Reality damage characters gain an additional +20% bonus. So he can be slotted in non-reality teams under certain conditions.
Best Psychubes For Getian In Reverse: 1999
For Psychubes, it’s best to equip Getian with his 6-star signature, Same Old Story, as it increases his Penetration and Follow-Up Attack damage. It also focuses well on his personal damage, which is something you need to accumulate for his Ultimate. Your next best option would be Blasphemer of Night, and this is simply because this Psychube makes it very easy to activate his Negative Status with the right teammates.
Your third-best option would be The Third Commitment, but that’s only if you want to focus on an Array Support build. It gives Getian’s Array an additional +12% Incantation and Ultimate Might.
Best Resonance Build For Getian In Reverse: 1999
When it comes to Resonance Build, you want to focus on an ATK-centered one with the Hyper frequency to better make use of Getian’s role as a Support that provides effects to the team. You need to look for stats which provide ATK, Crit Rate, Penetration Rate, Damage Bonus, and Incantation Might. The Admonition frequency works really well for Incantation Might and if you pair it with Getian’s signature psychube, you’ll be doing a lot of damage here. If you want to switch things up and use an alternative frequency, choose Genuinity and focus on Incantation Might sub stats.

Best Team Compositions For Getian In Reverse: 1999
Unfortunately, for team compositions, Getian is pretty niche and if you don’t have certain characters, he doesn’t deal as much damage. Nonetheless, he still works decently well in most teams, with a difference of only 5-10% in damage output.
Getian + Jiu Niangzi + Isolde
Since Getian’s unique mechanic allows him to boost Reality DMG in battles, it’s always recommended to use him with Reality DMG characters. Jiu Niangzi is the best DPS for him, as she can deal Burst DMG and multiple attacks at the same time through Getian’s [Shape of Bones]. Getian and Isolde are one of the most powerful Reality DMG buffing characters, so if you have her, be sure to put her in a team with him. For your fourth slot, you can bring Balloon party, but if you have Getian at Portrait 2, bring Tooth Fairy.
Getian + Spathodea + Tennant
This is your full Beast Afflatus Burn team that will work amazingly well against Plant Afflatus enemies. Spathodea and Getian synergize well, but if you don’t have her, you can also use characters like Centurion or Sweetheart. In your sustain slot, you can bring Tennant or even Balloon party, and then bring either Tooth Fairy or Medicine Pocket as your fourth for healing.
Getian + Lucy + Balloon Party
If you have Lucy, she may also be a good match with Getian as she works solely as a hyper-carry. She’ll synergize well with Getian’s damage enhancements and Eureka recovery rate. This makes him the perfect Support for a DPS like her. You can bring either Balloon Party or Sotheby if for team survivability and the Reality DMG bonus.
Getian + Jessica + Sotheby
This is your last option team that consists of characters that most Reverse: 1999 players own and is your ‘breath of fresh air’ to a standard Poison team. Getian buffs Jessica here, bringing her higher damage scaling attributes. Sotheby is great for synergies as well, and in your fourth slot, feel free to bring a healer or debuff like 6, Bkornblume, Kanjira, or Isolde to complete the team.
