Since so many excellent courses have been made by the community, you’ll undoubtedly want to add them to the career mode season to change things up a little. While you can do so, the process for actually switching the courses to custom ones isn’t very simple, and has some restrictions.

How To Change Tournament Courses

To start the process of switching a tournament’s course to a custom one, you need to be on the main MyCareer screen. First, select the next major event (the third tile on the calendar for the current week) to open up the expanded season.

Then, select an event that hasn’t been started. If you’re able to change the course setting for it, there will be a pencil icon next to the tournament name at the top of the screen. When you select it, a ‘swap course’ option will also pop up.

When you select that, a list of courses you can switch that particular tournament’s default out for will pop up. Select one and the course will be swapped to it. In that list, some custom courses will be included.

What Custom Courses You Can Play In MyCareer

However, not every custom course in the game can be used in MyCareer. A ‘curated list’ of custom courses has been included by 2K, so you can only choose from them.

For now at least, you’re not able to choose any course in the community-created library, nor any of the courses you’ve created yourself. The list of what you can select has been entirely decided on by 2K.
