Sanza’s four cartographers have gone missing in Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks.
Each offers a ten percent upgrade of one of your core stats, be that Health, Essence, Stamina, or Damage. These are fixed to each memory, so you’ll want them all. They also offer crucial information on your backstory, and even let you interpret these memories to better understand exactly who you are, and what brought you to this point.
Where To Find The Ancient Memory In Dawnshore
The Ancient Memory in Dawnshore is the easiest one to unlock, and just requires you to head to Watcher’s Mirror to the east of the map. Across the shallow pond, on the very edge of the platform, the memory will be waiting.
This is the Rememberance of Kishamal which increases your Maximum Health by ten percent.
In the middle of the lake, you will find a Drawn In Winter, one of the best early game Ranger weapons. However, if you grab it, you will need to fight off skeletons, so beware
Where To Find The Ancient Memory In Emerald Stair
To get to the Ancient in Memory in Emerald Stair, you’ll need to fight off the Steel Garotte. Head to their Ranger Tower just south of the Wildwoods, and find the ladder around the back. Climb it, then keep ascending through ladders and well-placed boxes to reach the very top.
You’ll need to fight off soldiers to get there, but not very many of them. There are also plentiful weapons and potions to loot on your ascent. At the top, look out over the Emerald Stair and interact with the memory to unlock Rememberance of Enhekala, which boosts your Maximum Essence by ten percent.
Where To Find The Ancient Memory In Shatterscarp
If you thought you had a fight last time, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Head to the Twin Reaches Overlook and fight off dozens of xaurips to climb the rocks there to get the Ancient Memory in Shatterscarp. There’s a lot of platforming here, so be prepared to jump between the columns. There is a wooden trail to follow, but the jumps can be tricky, especially while under attack.
This is where the Chief Xaurip Grithin Bounty is, so expect heavy resistance on the climb. Once you’ve defeated him and his minions, head across the flat peak to a monument to xaurips. At the far side of the clff edge, the memory will be there. It grants you the Rememberance of Nimanna, which raises your Maximum Stamina by ten percent.
If you missed the Memory when claiming the Bounty, the coast will be clear this time.
Where To Find The Ancient Memory In Galawain’s Tusks
At the far south of the Slumbering Fields, you will find the Restless Cavern. Ignore this and arc around the raised path, and you will reach a platform overlooking the aqueduct with the Ancient Memory in Galawain’s Tusks. Though this doesn’t necessitate combat like the previous two, it can still be tricky to reach.
That’s because the lake at Slumbering Fields is initially highly acidic. As you enter Slumbering Fields, you will get the quest Boundaries of Antiquity.Complete the first stage of this quest, and the lake will become pure, clean, harmless water again. The reward is the Rememberance of Maru which offers ten percent more Attack Damage.
Where To Find The Ancient Memory In The Garden
In the Garden, after seeing Giatta’s parents in the Pulling Back The Veil quest, you will reach the Broken Aqueduct. Rather than following the quest marker, head south to a closed gate. Open it, and the Ancient Memory of The Garden awaits.
Since you are near the end of the game, there’s not as much time to enjoy this reward. However, with tough battles in your immediate future, it is very useful. It unlocks the Rememberance of Sapadal which causes you to regenerate Health when you drop below 50 percent.
