If leaks are to be believed, there are tons of more heroes still in the oven. However, despite the constant updates and additions, it seems there is one thing players really want NetEase to address, and it’s the lack of new maps. It seems they are getting tired of the same old maps on rotation.

Marvel Rivals Players Want More Maps

In a Reddit post, Creative-Category-60 asked the community about what they thought about the current state of the game as well as what they think the developers should focus on moving forward. The answer was almost unanimously about more maps. While newer characters have been added frequently, it seems players also want fresh arenas.

“The future looks good, but it does feel like they’re going to need to prioritize map variety a bit more going forward,” said one comment. “The game is still soooooo new, I’m sure within the next year or so we’ll have a great selection of maps.”

“Yeah. It’s irritating how I’m constantly getting the same maps back to back in a single session,” agreed another player. “It just makes the map pool look tiny even with Midtown now being in rotation.” While it was evident they wanted more map variety, the overall sentiment seemed pretty positive towards the game and the development cycle.

While dropping new maps is not a joke, some players suggest at least having a mechanism to avoid certain maps that keep repeating. “Sometimes I’ll get the same 3 maps the whole day. Like I’m defending Tokyo for the 4th time in a row, sure would like to play a different map. They need to implement map voting or vetoing.”

That does seem like a good suggestion, but perhaps it would make more sense to implement it once more maps come to the game.
