Summary
- The Lord of the Rings Squishmallows revealed last year are finally available to buy.

- Even though pre-orders have begun, the LOTR Squishmallows won’t ship until March 1, 2025.
Jazwares revealed Lord of the Rings would be getting its first Squishmallows a few days before Christmas last year. A cruel tease for anyone who wants them as with no release date attached, anything they received shortly after on December 25 couldn’t have possibly compared. More than a month later, not only do we have an update on when the squishy trio from Middle-earth will be here, but pre-orders for all of them are now open on Amazon.
Frodo, Gandalf, and Gollum are the three characters from The Lord Of The Rings that have been selected for Squishmallow duty, and all of them are available now on Amazon through the links in the box below. They’re all ten inches tall, cost $15.99, and even though you can pre-order them now, they won’t ship until March 1, 2025.

It would fit the new release pattern of one Lord of the Rings Lego set per year.
Usually when something like Lord of the Rings gets new merch, it’s tied to a movie release or TV show premiere. As far as I know, we’re not about to embark on a new adventure with Frodo and the fellowship. However, there are crossovers you don’t pass up on should the opportunity arise, and the chance to have characters immortalized as Squishmallows is one of them.
The Lord Of The Rings First Squishmallows Are Now On Amazon
They’re Taking The Squishmallows To Isengard
Squishmallows have quickly risen through the toy ranks to the point that collaborations with IPs generate a similar amount of hype as officially licensed Funko Pops and Lego sets. While almost every Squishmallow has the same soft, round base, Jazwares needs to make each one unique. Jazwares has accessorized its Lord of the Rings Squishmallows to help with that.
Frodo’s Squishmallow, for example, has a cloak tied around it, held on by a tiny leaf. The One Ring has also been incorporated into the design, embroidered onto the Squishmallow so it looks like Frodo is wearing it on a chain around his neck, just like in the movies. The ring cannot be removed, so don’t go getting any ideas, Squishmallow Gollum.
The Lord Of The Rings Squishmallows
Jazwares has teamed up with The Lord of the Rings to turn some of its iconic characters into Squishmallows. Gandalf, Gollum, and Frodo have been given Squishmallow makeovers, all of which are ten inches tall and available on Amazon.
Gandalf’s Squishmallow is also wearing a cloak and since the plush’s design is based on the wizard’s iconic look as Gandalf the Grey, it’s also wearing a matching hat. Gollum doesn’t wear a cloak, of course, but his Squishmallow has additional material to wear the loincloth covering his modesty, and pointy ears sewn onto either side of its head.
There’s no word yet on whether there will be more Lord of the Rings Squishmallows. It might depend on how well these first three sell. If there are going to be more, and Jazwares is taking requests, I’d love to see a Sauron Squishmallow one day.
