Here is everything you need to know about LoL Patch 25.S1.3, the third update of the new 2025 League of Legends season.
LoL Patch 25.S1.3 – Is Mel too powerful?
The new season has been live for nearly a month and the overall feedback seems to be positive. Aside from the initial complaints for the Feats of Strength, which was recently reworked, the gameplay has been increasingly skirmish-heavy, as teams are generally contesting objectives more often. It can be too snowbally at times, but there hasn’t been anything too game-breaking.
Even Mel, which was released in an overpowered state, got tuned down with a micro patch. Her win rate fell is close to 50% but more time might be needed to figure out her real power.
Champion diversity seems to be doing fine, with pick rates being spread across different champions and across different elos. The recent meta favors creating synergizing team compositions rather than abusing specific champions, which is also a great aspect for professional play.
In the latest patch preview, Riot Phroxzon explained Mel doesn’t need further adjustments in this patch as they think she is in a good spot.
On the other hand, they are looking to nerf the damaging support items and increase the attack speed cap to 3.0, which was previously set at 2.5.
Bounties are also getting adjusted when one player is exceptionally fed in a losing team to make comebacks likely to happen.
Two dragon souls are also getting changes: cloud and chemtech will receive changes. You can check out the planned champion changes below. Numbers will be provided as soon as they are available. If you’re into Swiftplay, we have those numbers covered as well.

How will the upcoming patch shake the meta?
Given that there are no number changes announced, we’ll have to wait a little bit more to know what the meta will be like.
