Naruto: The Complete Series released on Blu-ray on January 7. The massive 32-disc box set collects all 220 episodes of Uzumaki Naruto’s early adventures. Unsurprisingly, it’s an expensive collection at $250, but Amazon is offering a pretty great discount right now that drops the price to $202.53. The 25% discount is the best deal yet on the brand-new anime box set. Crunchyroll is still selling the collection for the full $250 price.
$202.53 (was $250)
Along with all 220 episodes of the original Naruto series, this bundle includes a 72-page art book, a poster, a Naruto window-cling decal, and a special slipcase box to store everything. For the special features on the discs, you’re getting the standard clean credit sequences alongside art galleries, trailers, and a look at several storyboards from the anime series.
Naruto is set in a fictional world where tribes of Ninjas rule the land and follows the titular hero, Naruto, who embarks on a quest to become the world’s greatest shinobi. The anime is based on a 72-volume manga series by the same name, illustrated and written by Masashi Kishimoto.
Naruto Manga Box Sets
It’s worth noting the original Naruto anime’s 220 episodes only covers a portion of the manga–plus a lot of filler episodes–while the sequel series, Naruto Shippuden, adapts the rest of Naruto’s printed adventures (and even more filler). So while the Naruto: The Complete Edition box set covers all of the Naruto anime, it’s actually only a portion of the full story. If you want to own the entire saga, you’ll need to track down the many Naruto Shippuden Blu-rays, which can be tough to find. However, a better option would be to pick up all the full Naruto manga run, which is available in three large collections. While buying all three manga box sets costs substantially more than the anime, the upshot is you get the entire story with zero filler content.
