Prime Gaming Subscribers Can Claim 16 Free Games in January 2025

Amazon Prime Gaming has announced 16 free games for subscribers to claim in January, including well-known names such as Deux Ex and Bioshock 2. Of the 16 titles offered by Amazon Prime Gaming, five of them are already available to be claimed, with players only needing to be Amazon Prime subscribers.

Formerly known as Twitch Prime, Prime Gaming is Amazon’s well-known initiative that offers monthly benefits to Prime subscribers. The main one is a selection of free games that change every month, and which, once redeemed, can be kept forever. Prime Gaming has also become known for offering in-game loot for games such as Overwatch 2, League of Legends, and Pokemon GO, although these offers ended last year.

However, Prime Gaming’s free games continue, and Amazon has revealed the 16 titles it will be giving away in January, with BioShock 2 Remastered, Spirit Mancer, Eastern Exorcist, The Bridge, and SkyDrift Infinity already available. One of the highlights of this first wave is BioShock 2 Remastered, a graphics-enhanced version of the second game in the BioShock series that continues to tell the story of the underwater metropolis of Rapture. Spirit Mancer is another name that catches the eye as it tells the story of a demon hunter who is accidentally transported to the infernal realm. Combining hack-and-slash and deck-building mechanics, the indie title also has references to Mega Man, Pokemon, and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Among the other offers available during the month, another familiar name is Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition, which will be up for grabs on January 23. This is a version of the first game in the iconic Deus Ex franchise, known for its dystopian world and inspirations from films such as Blade Runner and RoboCop. In it, players follow the journey of JC Denton, an anti-terrorist agent who uncovers a deep conspiracy. On August 30, one of the games released by Prime Gaming will be Super Meat Boy Forever. Released in 2020, this is a sequel to Super Meat Boy, the game famous for its excruciating difficulty. In this new game, players join Meat Boy and Bandage Girl as they chase Dr. Fetus to rescue their daughter, Nugget.

Amazon Prime subscribers can still add December 2024 Prime Gaming titles, but they need to act fast. The Coma: Recut and Planet of Lana are available until January 15, while Simulakros is available until March 19. Some November offers also continue, with Shogun Showdown leaving on January 28. House of Golf 2 comes off the list on February 12, and Jurassic World Evolution and Elite Dangerous become unavailable on February 25.
