If you play Marvel Rivals for the first time, it can be very overwhelming and there’s a steep learning curve. However, once you get used to the general mechanics and all the abilities that you can encounter, you’ll start getting into the flow of the game. Though this also means that you’ll start having experienced opponents.

Here are tips and strategies to counter Punisher as every role in Marvel Rivals.
These opponents won’t be tricked by you if you’re using your abilities normally, and you’ll have to think of something special. This can be done by using some of the strongest ultimate combinations that the enemies don’t expect.

Doctor Strange And Iron Man
No Escape For The Enemies
Both Doctor Strange and Iron Man have some of the strongest ultimates in the game as one can stun enemies for a good amount of time while the other can throw a giant projectile, instantly killing the enemies that come in contact with it. However, when these two are combined, it becomes an unstoppable force.
As soon as you see more than three enemies grouped up, you can land between them as Strange and ultimate them while Iron Man throws his projectile at the location. This will leave them with no escape. Another great synergy with these is when you ultimate through Strange’s portal since the enemies can’t see it coming.

Jeff And Scarlet Witch
No More Being Vulnerable In Ultimate
While this might not be the most efficient combination of ultimates in Marvel Rivals, it is definitely the most fun one to use. The main problem with Scarlet Witch’s ultimate is that she’s left in a vulnerable state for far too long while charging it, which usually leads to the enemies defeating her before she can fully charge up.

Jeff can solve this situation by first gobbling up a group of enemies before Scarlet activates her ultimate. And then, he can throw them right at her as she’s about to explode. This is especially useful on maps where you can’t throw enemies off the map as Jeff.

Rocket Raccoon And The Punisher
Mow Them Down
The Punisher’s ultimate is already quite strong as it can defeat most enemies that come in front of him in an instant. The only problem is that you have to use it a bit far away so that the enemies can’t shoot you down while you’re at it. Rocket can somewhat prevent that with his ultimate and a bit of team support.
As long as your tanks and healers can keep The Punisher alive as both of these characters trigger their ultimate, no one will be able to peak you without dying within an instant. The increased damage makes Punisher’s ultimate far too oppressive to deal with.

Groot And Moon Knight
Stun And Destroy
Moon Knight is quickly becoming one of the commonly disliked characters by the community since he can just stand still and shoot at his Ankh to deal damage to everyone in the area, which can be especially frustrating in capture modes. While you can destroy his spawn easily, the same can’t be said for his ultimate.

Dish out massive amounts of damage with Marvel Rivals’ Moon Knight.
When this ability is ready, he can spawn a big area where enemies take damage constantly. It’s easy to go out of this area for the most part, but when combined with Groot’s stun, you’re guaranteed to get some easy picks.
2
Psylocke And Spider-Man
No Chance Of Survival
Psylocke and Spider-Man, even by themselves, are some of the best DPS characters in the game as they can easily get in the enemy’s backline and pick their supports and DPS characters off before going back out easily. But when these two are combined, they become an unstoppable force.
Both these characters deal significant damage in the area around their ultimate while Spider-Man also webs them and forces them to stay in place for a bit at the end. On the other hand, Psylocke can move in any direction during her ultimate, allowing for a deadly combo where the enemies either have to back far away or simply get knocked out.
1
Loki And Winter Soldier
Again! But Twice
The last entry on this list is a little unconventional, but you’re sure to be in for some fun when you try it out. You might already know that Winter Soldier’s ultimate can be quite oppressive as long as he constantly picks off enemies affected by the area where he stomps. Now imagine if two characters were doing that at the same time.
As Loki, you can copy Winter Soldier and use his ultimate with your teammate. While this doesn’t stack up the red bar on the enemies, it does deal enough damage together to defeat any affected enemy, leading to a few seconds of pure chaos.
