Fortnite Leak Reveals Splinter Cell Collab Could Be In The Works

Fortnite is no stranger to crossing over with other video games. The nature of the game means it’s not in competition with the vast majority of other video games. It is a Battle Royale, which means it’s really only in conflict with Warzone, PUBG, and a few others (ironically, those don’t have collaborations). Everything else seems to be fair game, and there are already a lot of franchises in the metaverse. A beloved franchise could be joining very soon.

Fortnite Rumored to Get Splinter Cell Crossover

Splinter Cell, which is one of the many Tom Clancy game franchises out there, is a long-running stealth, action-adventure game series. In many ways, it is similar to Metal Gear, which Fortnite already worked with. According to leaker ShiinaBR, Splinter Cell is possibly coming to Fortnite. The leak did not give a timeline for this.

It also didn’t reveal any details, as the rumor is not fully developed with backing information from the game files. The hypothetical collaboration will presumably have skins, back blings, pickaxes, and perhaps even NPCs on the island during the season it arrives in. That means it could be saved for Chapter 6 Season 2 since Splinter Cell couldn’t be part of the current battle pass. It would be a collab, not an original skin like Etheria.

This would join the Gaming Legends Series. This is where so many iconic franchises are in Fortnite:

  • God of War
  • Metal Gear
  • Fallout
  • Lethal Company
  • Tomb Raider
  • Borderlands
  • Raiden
  • Among Us
  • Street Fighter
  • Halo
  • League of Legends

This is just a rumor, so it’s not guaranteed. However, there is rampant speculation about possible remakes for the franchise. That’s something the players have expressly said they want, so a remake announcement combined with Fortnite skins might be the perfect combination to stir up interest on both fronts.

There is also an upcoming animated Splinter Cell TV show on Netflix, so the skins could be tied to that. Unfortunately, this is all speculative right now. Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything regarding this crossover at this time.
