  • Tati Gabrielle quickly shut the backlash down, sharing a meme of Jordan and Ciri drinking “Fragile Masculini-Tea”.

Naughty Dog revealed its brand-new IP at The Game Awards earlier this month, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Dripping in ’80s anime homage, this sci-fi game already oozes style, down to a giant crimson red laser sword with a blade made of audio waves.

The Intergalactic trailer looks fantastic… until it gets to Sempiria.

There was a lot of excitement and buzz initially, and then the usual complaints of ‘woke’ started spilling in as the trailer was spammed with dislikes. The main complaints were, expectedly, about Jordan, comparing them to Concord and being up in arms because they’re bald and supposedly ‘ugly’.

But lead actor Tati Gabrielle is already shutting the backlash down. Over the weekend, she shared fan art made by Luarya on her Instagram story, depicting Jordan and Ciri (from The Witcher) drinking “Fragile Masculini-Tea”. Gabrielle also captioned the post, “you mad bro?”

Gabrielle Is So “Excited” To Play Jordan

Thankfully, it’s not all negative with Intergalactic. While the trailer was bombarded with the usual hate, Gabrielle isn’t deterred and has been incredibly enthusiastic about her new role.

“I’M GONNA BE IN A VIDEO GAME Y’ALL! Ah! Never could I have imagined that when I booked Uncharted that I was opening a door that my childhood brain would blow on the other side of,” she posted on Instagram. “Let’s FXCKIN GOOOOO”.

The comments were filled with support matching her energy, with some echoing “Let’s goooooo”, while others said the news was “iconic” and incredible”.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet doesn’t have a release date yet, but if you want to don a tinfoil hat and speculate, the trailer did have a lot of references to 2027. So, maybe we’ll get to see Gabrielle’s turn as Jordan soon enough.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Propher follows Jordan A. Mun, a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria – a distant planet whose communication with the outside universe went dark hundreds of years ago. In fact, anyone who’s flown to it hoping to unravel its mysterious past was never heard from again. Jordan will have to use all her skills and wits if she hopes to be the first person in over 600 years to leave its orbit.
