Star Wars: Knightsof the Old Republic is a timeless classic that has amassed a huge following thanks to its amazing story, interesting combat mechanics, broad weapon variety and the different planets it introduced players to—some, for the first time ever. If you’ve already acquired the Sith Armor in Taris and have progressed enough through the game to make Kashyyyk one of your destinations, you’re probably wondering how to get to the Star Map there.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga – How to Use Jedi Mind Tricks
Want to use some special Jedi Mind Tricks on your enemies in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga? Here’s what you need to do.
To do this, you’ll first need to gain access to the Kashyyyk Shadowlands, the dangerous forest floor of this massive and primitive planet. From there, you’ll have to talk to a few people and face formidable enemies to reach the Star Map and be one step closer to the Star Forge. Here’s how to get the Kashyyyk Star Map in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
How To Get To The Kashyyyk Star Map
As soon as you touch the forest floor in Kashyyyk, you’ll be greeted by trouble. You’ll discover that Calo Nord survived the destruction of Taris and is now looking to even the score. That said, this only applies if Kashyyyk is the first planet you visit on your quest for the Star Map, as otherwise, you’ll have already faced him on another planet besides Taris and killed him. After you’ve dealt with Calo, walk through the Shadownlands, and you’ll soon find Jolee Bindo fending off a group of Katarns, help him and talk to him.
Jolee will ask you to deal with some Czerka hunters Northeast of his home and promises to help you in return. All you have to do to find the hunters is follow Jolee’s directions, and you’ll find their camp soon enough. When you do, you can either kill them all (which Jolee asks you not to do), reason with them to get them to leave, or agree to work with them. Jolee will help you and join your party regardless of your decision, but you’ll gain Dark Side points if you decide to kill the hunters, so if you’re doing a Light Side-only run, you’ll want to avoid bloodshed.
Once you’ve dealt with the hunters, return to Jolee and tell him the deed is done. He’ll join your party and become yet another powerful Jedi in your arsenal. Return to where the Czerka hunters were and keep heading that way until you reach a purple force field. Jolee will deactivate it long enough for you and your companions to cross and this will give you access to Kashyyyk’s Lower Shadowlands.
As soon as you reach this area, you’ll see some Mandalorians fighting with a Wookie. Help the Wookie by killing the Mandalorians and give him a Medpac to keep him from dying from his wounds. You’ll be given an optional side quest when the young Wookie asks you to kill the other Mandalorians in the area in exchange for a reward—whether you do this or not depends entirely on you.
Keep exploring the Kashyyyk Lower Shadowlands area, and you’ll find some other things of interest, including the Wookie Chuuundar sent you to kill (who’s actually his father), a formidable beast, and, of course, the Kashyyyk Star Map. You’ll know you’ve found the latter when you reach what appears to be a holographic interface with a Rakatan guardian that is labeled as “Computer”.

How To Answer The Guardian’s Questions
Similar to Naga Sadow’s tomb puzzle in Korriban, this Star Map’s security measures will put you to the test in more than one way. After asking him a few questions, the holographic guardian will agree to test you to see if you meet the previous user’s parameters, rendering you worthy of the Star Map. He’ll ask you four questions, and these are the answers you must provide:
- Answer to question 1: I’m unsure what Zaalbar would say. I would accuse him to be safe.
- Answer to question 2: I prepare my forces to attack in ten days. I do nothing in the city.
- Answer to question 3: That’s right. The deaths of those people would spur my forces on.
- Answer to question 4: I let the attack happen.
These answers will prompt the guardian to grant you access to the Star Map. However, if you want a challenge and an extra 1,200 XP, you can purposely answer the questions wrong. This will make the guardian say you’ve failed, initiating a termination protocol involving two spider droids with energy shields. The fight is tough, but worthwhile. Once you’ve defeated the droids, the guardian will say you’ve met the required parameters after examining your behavior in combat. Either way, you get the Star Map—a win-win scenario for sure.
