A new version of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is now available on PS4 and PS5, and it comes with a brand-new trophy list to conquer. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy is one of the most beloved PlayStation 2 games of all time, with many still remembering it fondly to this day. The game has been released on PS3 as part of an HD collection, ported to PS4, and has now had a fresh version released on PS4 and PS5.
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy has been added to PS Plus Premium, and like other PS2 games added to the service recently, this has seen it come with a brand-new list of trophies to unlock. Counting the HD remaster of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy that was released on PS3 and the PS4 digital version, that makes for a total of three Platinum trophies players can earn for just this game alone.

Even though it’s been 13 years since the last brand-new Jak and Daxter game, several factors have allowed Naughty Dog’s franchise to survive.
Whereas the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game offered distinct Platinum trophies despite having identical lists, this latest Jak and Daxter release has a new trophy list. For the most part, the trophy list challenges players to find all the Power Cells in the various levels, but there are some interesting new trophies that add extra challenges for players to complete as well.

Jak and Daxter fans will notice that they are now challenged to complete extra tasks like reaching the top of the Forbidden Temple without running out of Blue eco, traveling to the Blue Eco platform in 12 or fewer jumps in Geyser Rock, and earning a record time of 40.00 or better on the gorge in Precursor Basin. The Jak and Daxter trophy list for the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game were mainly about advancing the story, though players were also rewarded for collecting all the Scout Flies, Power Cells, and Precursor Orbs.
If Jak 2 and Jak 3 come to PS Plus Premium, it will be interesting to see if they feature their own unique trophy lists as well. In the meantime, fans of classic 3D platformers on the PS2 have had a lot to enjoy as of late, with Jak and Daxter joined by Sly 2 and Sly 3.
