Clash of Clans wants to celebrate the end of the year with a bang and hence has got us another exciting event named the Toyshop Throwdown. As part of the weekly events in the December 2024 Puppet Season, the new event is similar to what we have had with the previously arrived spotlight events. With a few new troop faces, a Christmas spell and several rewards, let us see what’s in store for us.
Clash of Clans Toyshop Throwdown Event overview and details
Overview
The Toyshop Throwdown Event kicks off for Town Hall 6 and above players on December 11, 2024, and will run throughout the entire month. The event introduces exciting features, including three temporary troops, a spell, and a new epic piece of equipment. You progress by collecting Cogs by attacking in multiplayer battles along the event track and unlocking rewards.
The cogs in multiplayer battles will be with targets scattered across three buildings on each base. As you progress, you’ll unlock temporary troops like the Ice Wizard, the Ram Rider, the powerful C.O.O.K.I.E troop, and the Santa Surprise spell, each bringing unique abilities.
Troop and Spell Details
As mentioned earlier, three troops are featured in this event. Ice Wizard, as you know, helps in slowing down enemy defenses with his attacks. Ram Rider excels at smashing through walls and stunning enemy defenses and can quickly open paths for your main army. The star of the event is C.O.O.K.I.E, a Valyrie-like troop which deals massive splash damage, so much that it can break any Town Hall with a single attack.
Santa Surprise spell makes a comeback as well. When deployed, this spell drops a series of colourful gift boxes onto a targeted area, and each box delivers an explosion, that deals massive damage, getting special treatment like the C.O.O.K.I.E.
Event Deals and Rewards
As you progress and collect Toy Medals, you can redeem them from the shop. You can earn up to 3,750 toy medals as a free-to-play player, or 9,250 with the event pass. The rewards include a Rocking Reindeer decoration upon completing the main track. The bonus track offers even more rewards, including toy medals for the trader shop.
As you can see, there are several Hero Equipment available this time around, but the highlight is the Electro Boots, a new epic equipment for the Royal Champion. This gear grants aura damage similar to the Electro Titan and unique self-healing with extra hit points for your hero. I suggest this to be your first pick.
