Marvel Rivals launched yesterday evening, or in the early hours of this morning, depending on your region. The game hasn’t even been out for 24 hours but is already proving to be immensely popular, peaking at 444,286 players on Steam alone.
However, that doesn’t mean that players are loving everything about the new hero shooter. In fact, there’s one thing that many seem to have come to an agreement on very quickly: Iron Fist needs to be nerfed. Less than a day after launch, he’s being named the most irritating character to go against in matches, so much so that fans are calling for balance changes.

We’re already seeing popular posts about how annoying Iron Fist is, with many in the replies agreeing that they’re having issues going up against him.
There are also posts calling for nerfs. “Is it just me or is Iron Fist an absolute problem?” writes Reddit user Amoxton. “He has to get close to do anything I understand that – but why in the hell does this character come with a 100 percent damage block that turns into a rapid fire “f**k you die” button?”
Others agree, with Sp3akerWolf posting, “Iron Fist needs to be nerfed into the dirt and then some. You literally can’t do a damn thing against him.”
Not everyone agrees that it’s this drastic, however. Some say that he isn’t that great outside of his Ultimate and that we’ll all get used to playing against him after a while. It’ll be one to keep an eye on though, and see if the devs respond to these irritations.
