Delta Force released into Early Access on Dec. 5 and immediately made an impression as one of the best up-and-coming FPS games around, but players on PC are asking whether the game has controller support.
Here’s everything you need to know about controller support on PC for Delta Force.
Delta Force Controller Support
Delta Force is one of the best new FPS games of the year. Unfortunately, at launch Delta Force does not have native Controller Support. The game has been focused on its release on PC and mobile platforms and as a result has opted to stick to a more traditional mouse and keyboard setup for its PC and Steam version.
The developers, Team Jade, have stated they intend to include it in the future, but this will likely be closer to the Delta Force console release date than any time soon
However, it is possible to manually in Steam or through plugins set up a controller on PC. Here’s how to do this:
- Head to the game’s page in your library. Look for the “Controller” section on the left of the screen.
- Select “View Controller Settings.”
- Under Current Button Layout, select the “Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse option which will bring up different Layouts.
- Select the Layout you prefer. At the time of writing there were no community layouts, and instead, you would need to manually configure the controller.
- Once you have the settings you like, launch the game and enjoy.
As mentioned, controllers aren’t officially supported, so doing this may mean some features of the game and some elements of the control scheme are off limits, so do so at your own risk. Delta Force is tribute to older tactical shooters like its predecessor and Battlefield, so at times it’s best enjoyed with Mouse and Keyboard.
