All that glitters is Amethyst. These are the most valuable Amethyst cards in Disney’s Lorcana.

If you’re cracking packs to find the most valuable cards in the set, you’re going to want to know what to look for. While there are plenty of high-value enchanted cards in the set, they’re pretty rare compared to most other cards, which is why we took a look at everything that’s in the non-enchanted rarities to find the slightly more obtainable cards that will still fetch a pretty penny.

The prices of these cards come from TCGplayer and are subject to change over time.

10 Wreck-It Ralph, Ham Hands

Legendary – $5.85

The Lorcana card Wreck It Ralph Ham Hands by Justin Runfola.

A solid quester with some solid stats and a good ability, though at a slightly higher cost, Wreck-It Ralph, Ham Hands is a really good legendary card to pick up for your steel deck, even if he doesn’t quite have a home just yet.

At six ink, this iteration of Ralph is a bit higher on your curve, though he does have a very nice ability to help justify it. With his I Wreck Things ability, you get to banish an item or location to gain two extra lore, which is great since Ralph is already questing for three lore on his own.

9 Yzma, Conniving Chemist

Legendary – $5.86

The Lorcana card Yzma Conniving Chemist by Jared Mathews.

Drawing cards has never felt better than with Yzma, Conniving Chemist. This amethyst card has a very strong ability with the Feel the Power exert power. If you have less than three cards in your hand, you can exert Yzma to draw until you have up to three cards.

Late in the game, once you’ve played most of your hand, you can use Yzma to recover a bit, ensuring you never really run out of gas. While it might be hard to use earlier in the game, you can always just ink Yzma or use her to quest a little until you start emptying your hand.

8 Lilo, Escape Artist

Super Rare – $6.18

The Lorcana card Lilo Escape Artist by Grezegorz Krysinski.

A super interesting card that just won’t go away, Lilo truly lives up to her name with her Escape Artist card. Thanks to her No Place I’d Rather Be ability, you can play her if she’s in your discard.

Of course, she comes in exerted, but that’s totally okay since she only costs two ink to play. Lilo can quest for two lore each turn, so even though she’s not very strong, she can keep coming back for more.

7 Calhoun, Marine Sergeant

Rare – $7.25

The Lorcana card Calhoun Marine Sergeant by Kevin Sidharta.

One of only two rare cards that found their way onto the top of the set value-wise, it is easy to see how Calhoun, Marine Sergeant is a hit among players. Calhoun comes loaded with two abilities, Resist +1 and a neat special ability called Level Up.

Level Up helps you get closer to a lore victory by giving you a bonus two lore counters anytime Calhoun banishes another character in a challenge. To help her stick around a little longer, she is also loaded with Resist +1, reducing the amount of damage she would take from a challenge by one.

6 Tiana, Restaurant Owner

Legendary – $8.60

The Lorcana card Tiana Restaurant Owner by Marine Josephine.

One of the better cards from the Azurite Sea set, Tiana, Restaurant Owner helps keep your characters safe with a strong taxing effect to keep the game swinging in your favor. Tiana’s Special Reservation ability puts your opponent’s ink resources under pressure if they’re looking to take a swing at your characters.

This ability makes it so if a character under your control is challenged, so long as Tiana is exerted, your opponent’s character gets -3 strength unless its owner pays three ink. Getting hit with such a huge decrease in power can shut down plenty of attacks, making Tiana a valuable card for protecting your other character.

5 Baymax, Armored Companion

Legendary – $11.19

The Lorcana card Baymax Armored Companion by Brianna Garcia.

Getting to heal your damaged characters is a great way to sustain your board in a long, drawn out game, and that’s where Baymax, Armored Companion comes in. With The Treatment is Working ability, Baymax not only heals your characters, but gets you closer to a lore victory.

A flood is coming and could cost you a lot of cash. Here are the most valuable Floodborn characters from Disney’s Lorcana!

When Baymax comes into play and when he quests, you can remove up to two damage counters from another of your characters. You then get one lore for each one point of damage removed through Baymax. That’s up to two extra lore gained each turn, and on top of the two lore they’re already questing for, you can quickly rack up a respectable amount while keeping your other characters in tip-top shape.

4 Oswald, The Lucky Rabbit

Legendary – $14.27

The Lorcana card Oswald the Lucky Rabbit by Tom Bancroft and Kristen Breshears.

One of Disney’s forgotten characters that has made a comeback in recent years, Oswald, The Lucky Rabbit makes a return to the greater Disney pantheon with a pretty solid sapphire card.

With Oswald’s Favorable Chance ability, every time you put a card in your inkwell you can choose to reveal the top card of your deck. So long as that card is an item, you can play it for free, though it does enter exerted. Potentially getting a free card just for playing cards into your inkwell is certainly a huge benefit, especially if you have a high density of item cards you’re looking to play.

3 Genie, Wish Fulfilled

Rare – $14.83

The Lorcana card Genie Wish Fulfilled by Veronica Di Lorenzo and Livio Caccitore.

Following Calhoun as the second rare to be wanted heavily by players, Genie, Wish Fulfilled is just an all-around good card. This four cost Amethyst card has a relatively straightforward ability, when it comes in to play, you draw a card.

At the same time, it has evasive, meaning only other character with evasive can even think of challenging Genie. With a 2/4 statline, Genie isn’t particularly powerful, but you’ll likely get a few good quests out of it before your opponent decides to use some hard removal on it.

2 Simba, Pride Protector

Legendary – $18.15

The Lorcana card Simba Pride Protector by Kendall Hale.

Keeping your characters safe is an important part of your amber strategy, and Simba, Pride Protector does a great job at keeping your side of the board safe and sound after a round of challenges.

Understand the Balance is this Simba’s special ability, letting you ready all your other characters so long as Simba is exerted at the end of your turn. There are a few other characters that have been released over the course of the game that let you ready Simba after you’ve triggered Simba’s ability, so that Simba will not be vulnerable to challenges.

1 Maui, Half-Shark

Legendary – $33.98

The Lorcana card Maui Half Shark by Alexandria Neonakis.

A very silly and very powerful card, Maui, Half-Shark is perhaps the best card in the set given all that it does for you once in play. Maui comes with three very strong abilities that can help you close out a game very quickly.

Not only is this Maui a 7/5, but it has the evasive keyword, helping you knock out your opponent’s evasive characters with a single strike and making it incredibly resilient to attacks. Anytime you do choose to challenge another character, you can bring back an action card from your discard back to your hand. Then, when you play any action card, you get a lore counter, letting you cycle through the same action card multiple times in a turn.
