My Hero Academia’s conclusion was, unfortunately, not elaborate enough to explain the current Hero rankings to the fans. However, now, things have taken an exciting turn, and Horikoshi has finally presented the top 10 Heroes in Japan to the fans in full detail. Undoubtedly, there are quite a few surprising rankings, with some exclusions here as well.

The Top 5 Heroes At The End Of MHA

  • A new hero system emerged after the war
  • Following the timeskip, the next-gen heroes have taken center stage

When it comes to the hero rankings of My Hero Academia, the vast majority of the focus is always on the top five. These are the most important Heroes, usually, and they are also among the strongest. The My Hero Academia world has changed dramatically since the beginning of the series. At one point, the likes of All Might, Endeavor, and Best Jeanist, among others, made up the top five. Right now, things are very different, and some of the most exciting new-generation Heroes have now consolidated their position among the Top Five. It is safe to say that some of these rankings were already hinted at by the author, with the top hero already being revealed long ago.

I’ve realized, I always love food! – Shoto Todoroki

Mirio Togata

The top hero in Japan right now is none other than Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to any fan, because it was already mentioned in the actual manga that Mirio is the Number One Hero. After the war, Endeavor was unable to continue his position as a Hero, and, at some point after graduation, Mirio ended up rising to the top spot in Japan. Mirio was always said to be the man closest to All Might, and it doesn’t surprise the fans that right now, he is among the mightiest Heroes of all time. Mirio’s strength has likely reached an entirely different level after all these years of training and growth, and fans are absolutely delighted to see him take the top spot here. Hopefully, fans will see more focus being thrown his way later down the line.

Shoto Todoroki

The Number Two Hero in Japan at this point in My Hero Academia is Shoto Todoroki. Fahs know Shoto to be one of Deku’s best friends. Shoto was born with immense potential, having the fire side of his father, and the ice side of his mother. His Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk is an absolute monstrous power and he knows how to bring the best of it. At the very end of My Hero Academia, it was hinted by the author that Shoto and Bakugo were going head-to-head for the positions among the top hero ranks, but now, it has been made clear that Shoto is the one who has pulled ahead and he currently holds the second position. Reaching the number two position was something that happened rather recently, as was seen in My Hero Academia chapter 431.

Mt. Lady

Mt. Lady is a hero who was considered to be a rookie at the beginning of My Hero Academia. Over these years, she has now defined herself better and she can be considered to be one of the strongest Heroes of her generation. Mount Lady has surpassed many others from her generation and claimed this high spot. While Mount Lady’s strength wasn’t all that impressive in My Hero Academia, right now, things are different. She has likely progressed greatly over the years and achieved a very high level of strength.

It is because of that, and her exciting charisma that Mount Lady holds the third position on the Hero Billboard.

Kamui Woods

Another top hero that fans knew was going to have a high position is none other than Kamui Woods. At the end of My Hero Academia, Horikoshi made it quite clear that both Mount Lady and Kamui Woods are among the top Heroes. Here, in the epilogue of My Hero Academia, the author explicitly states the ranking of this individual, and he’s revealed to hold the top four hero position.

My Hero Academia Volume 42 will have a big surprise for fans.

Kamui Woods wasn’t all that special in My Hero Academia, but, as is the case with Mount Lady, he has likely improved drastically and gained new powers ever since. Kamui Woods is now at the peak of his powers, and fans should expect him to reach an even higher level soon enough.

Best Jeanist

Best Jeanist

The Number 5 Hero in My Hero Academia right now is none other than Best Jeanist. Best Jeanist was once a part of the top three, but, after the war, it seems that his ranking has dropped quite a bit. Still, even after suffering as much as he did, he continues to be a Hero and he is easily among the strongest characters even now. It is likely that his power output has dramatically dropped after all he suffered in My Hero Academia, and given that he has passed his prime, his ranking is likely going to dwindle further. But, his Hero career was certainly illustrious.

Hero Rank 6-10 In My Hero Academia

With the top five hero rankings out of the way, it is now time to tackle the 6 – 10 positions. Usually, these positions can have a dark horse in them who is often underrated by people, but are a hidden gem. At the same time, most of them are heroes with incredibly high levels of power, but who are missing a certain something that prevents them from breaking into the top five. Regardless, these are capable Pro Heroes with tremendous potential.

Mirko

Mirko has done incredibly well to maintain her position among the top hero ranks. As fans know, she was already a part of the top six in My Hero Academia, and she continues to hold this position right now as well. This just goes to show that even after losing all her limbs, she is incredibly resilient and one of the strongest Heroes to have ever lived. Because of that, she deserves a special mention.

The rest of the hero rankings are made up of Nejire Hado, who currently holds the seventh position; Wash, who holds the eighth position; Shoji, who holds the ninth position; and Monoma, who holds the final 10th position. These are the top 10 Heroes in My Hero Academia right now and while this order is certainly not fixed and will continue to change as Heroes themselves progress further, this is a good representation of what the best heroes in Japan right now look like. Of course, there is the curious case of Bakugo Katsuki, who is not in the top 10 but is still one of the strongest Heroes, possibly even being the strongest.

My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the final chapter of My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia chapter 430, was August 4, 2024.
