Key Takeaways
- The Sun Wukong Fruit could give Kong transformative powers
- The Wind-Wind Fruit may grant Monkey D. Dragon the power to control and manipulate all forces of wind.
- The Sea-Sea Fruit could allow the user to not only control the seas, but also to shape the world as they see fit.
Devil Fruits are the cornerstone of the One Piece power system and have been the reason why the series even started in the first place. These are fruits that, when eaten, give the user a unique ability that can range from being so powerful as to shake the very Earth or being so weak that all they allow the user to do is make clothes for others. These fruits are extremely varied in their use and fall into 3 categories; Paramecia, Logia, and Zoan.
Over the years, there have been many cool and unique Devil Fruits that often belong to some of the most powerful characters in the entire story. Despite this, there are some potential fruits that many fans feel are somehow missing from One Piece and can make their debut at any moment due to how obvious they feel these powers are. So, let’s look at the best potential Devil Fruits and see how they can change the One Piece world.

One Piece: Why Kizaru Is The Most Underrated Admiral
Despite being one of the strongest Marines, Kizaru is still quite underrated amongst the Admirals, so let’s look at why this is!
The Sun Wukong Fruit
The Power To Transform Into A Giant Ape

Mythical Zoan |
Potential User |
Kong |
A character who fans are hoping to see in action before the One Piece story has concluded is Kong, the current Commander-in-Chief of the World Government. This is someone who ranks above even the Fleet Admiral, so naturally, fans have assumed his power to be unmatched due to his mastery of the different kinds of Haki and his potential Devil Fruit, which many speculate could be the much-anticipated Sun Wukong fruit.
Justice lies in values that cannot transcend the generations.
This would be a Mythical Zoan that gives Kong the ability to transform into the fabled Sun Wukong; a legendary figure from Eastern Mythology that holds a very significant role in Buddhist folklore. Given Kong’s name and the power he is destined to hold, the Sun Wukong fruit serves as the perfect Devil Fruit for him as it would make him far stronger, faster, and would bestow upon him the many strange and powerful abilities that the mythical figure is said to have, such as the ability to shape-shift and clone himself. This would make him one of the greatest enemies of the pirates and one of the World Government’s most valuable assets.
The Wind-Wind Fruit
The Power To Control The Winds
Fruit Name |
Kaze Kaze no Mi |
---|---|
Fruit Category |
Logia |
Potential User |
Monkey D. Dragon |
The wind-controlling Logia Type Devil Fruit is one of the most speculated fruits in the entire series. Not only do wind powers perfectly fall into being a Logia Type due to it being a natural element, but Monkey D. Dragon also seems to be the perfect candidate to already wield this power, which can be seen with his few showings in the story. He is already being built up as one of the strongest characters in One Piece so a wind Logia would be the perfect power for him.
Someday, I promise you, they will watch as I change the world!
Nothing is currently known about Dragon’s power, but fans have been theorizing about his wind abilities since his very first appearance in the Loguetown arc, where he saved the Straw Hats by seemingly calling forth a storm. This was a particularly powerful tempest, summoning lightning and huge gusts of wind that blew people away like they were ants, greatly increasing Dragon’s reputation as a hidden powerhouse. The prevailing theories state that this power comes from either a wind Logia, a storm Paramecia, or a Mythical Zoan that makes him a Storm God.

The Sea-Sea Fruit
The Power To Control The Seas
Fruit Name |
Umi Umi no Mi |
---|---|
Fruit Category |
Paramecia or Logia |
Potential User |
Imu |
In what would undoubtedly be the most powerful Devil Fruit of them all, the Umi Umi no Mi would give the user the power to control the oceans of the world. Although this does seem to go against the fundamental rule of Devil Fruits, being their natural weakness to seawater, it’s exactly why it would serve as the perfect Devil Fruit to be used by the final villain of the series. Imu has seemingly been alive since the Void Century, so there is perhaps no other Devil Fruit that could match up to Joyboy’s Nika Fruit than this one.
We, the 5 Elders, are here before you!
If the fruit gives the user the ability to manipulate the ocean, it would also make sense as to why the world looks the way it does, since Imu may have shaped it to be this way. With the ocean itself being the greatest enemy of Devil Fruit users, there are also thematic connections that make sense with Imu having it. However, it’s not known if this fruit would be a Logia or a Paramecia Type since they both make sense. Still, what is known is that if this power ends up being a part of the One Piece world, it will change everything.
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
