CD Projekt Red is busy cooking up a number of titles right now. The organization has previously stated its ambition of becoming a multi-studio developer, and is currently working on four projects, including a Cyberpunk sequel, a Witcher spin-off, a remake of The Witcher 1, and, of course, The Witcher 4.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Is Going To Outlive The Game Its Based On
As Lucy comes to Guilty Gear Strive, it’s time to look back on the modern anime classic.
The developer had an earnings call with investors yesterday, where it gave an update on the status of all these projects. The Witcher 4 was the biggest topic of discussion, with CDPR saying it “has entered the full-scale production phase”. However, there were also details on the developer’s other big IP.
Another Animated Series Based On Cyberpunk 2077 Is In The Works
Cyberpunk 2077regained its reputation thanks to the devs’ post-launch work and the Phantom Liberty expansion. However, it also saw a major bump thanks to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated show which showed us a different side of Night City than we saw playing as V. It now looks like we’re getting another show set in the same universe.
CFO Piotr Nielubowicz revealed the news during the earnings call along with new sales figures for the game. “I also have some good news straight from Night City. Sales of Cyberpunk 2077 have topped 30 million copies, while the Phantom Liberty expansion has sold eight million units.
“These are impressive figures – they reveal the true size of the fan community and the scale of interest in the Cyberpunk universe,” he continued. “Both are very important to us, since we recently announced that next year the game, along with its expansion, would be coming to Mac devices powered by Apple Silicon chips.
“I’m also very happy to announce that we’re working on another animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will be released on Netflix.”
We don’t have any more information on this yet, but considering how things ended in Edgerunners, it’s unlikely to be a sequel. Exploring different sides of Night City sounds like a great idea. Maybe we’ll see more of the Nomads’ or Corpos’ perspectives this time.
As for the Cyberpunk sequel, there’s not been much information as of yet, but based on the charts shared by CDPR, it’s second in priority to The Witcher 4, so it’s probably a while away.
Developed by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person action role-playing game based on the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG. You must choose your path through life in the lawless Night City, while contending with the memories of Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves).
