Chasing Ghosts Walkthrough for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl

STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has many side missions for players to extend their time in the game, but there is also a list of main missions that players will need to progress through to reach the end of the story. Chasing Ghosts is one such mission that players will get closer to the start of the game.

Players will need to replace the inductor to activate the Azimuth Station. There are 2 key NPCs with items players will need to loot: Major Hryhorchenko and Sergeant Nikitin. This mission involves some exploration, a lot of searching, and a little bit of combat in between.

STALKER 2 Chasing Ghosts Finding the Major

Your stop will be north-east of the Azimuth Station. Here you will find a building with a large radio dish on top of it. You will find the body of Major Hryhorchenko on the east side of this building. Loot his body for the Azimuth Station Basement Key. There will be a flight of stairs heading downward behind this body that you will now need to follow — be sure to bring a good weapon with you.

Heading down the stairs will lead you to a gate and, shortly after, a prison cell. Use the key to get through the first game, and then head into the prison cell to find an open hatch on the ground with a ladder you will need to go down. Keep following the right wall, and you will eventually encounter a group of enemies. Get the drop on them and dispatch them with some well-placed shots.

You will find some metal stairs in the room, and to the right of them will be an open door frame. Head through this door frame and then through the open door frame on the far side of this room. Take the first left turn, and then the next left turn to find the body of Sergeant Nikitin. This body will have the Azimuth Key Card.

There are plenty of rooms and places to search, so taking the extra time to explore and interact with them is a good way to
stay stocked up on ammo
for when you need it.

Replace the Inductor in STALKER 2

Your objectives will update, and you will now need to give Strider access to Azimuth’s systems. Head up the ladder next to the body of Nikitin, and then make your way up to the surface.

Head southwest towards the quest marker, and you will see a building with a large radio tower on it. Enter this building and take the right pathway. You will come to a large room with a terminal — which is the computer with a blue screen. There will be a key card reader on the left side of it. Leave the room on the south side to find a ladder you can use to access the roof.

There is a trap in the room, so be sure to cut the wires before heading towards the ladder.

Head all the way to the top to replace the inductor, and then head to the very top of the tower to activate the device. This will complete the mission, and you can make your way back to the ground during the dialogue. .
