Luma Island isn’t a story-heavy game, but there are some secrets to discover on the island and about the town that you can discover through finding Ancient Keys. There are four in total, and you can only get them by unlocking Ancient Temples in each of the biomes.
The Ancient Farm Temple is where you’ll find your first key, but by the time you get to The Forest, you’ll need to find three Forgotten Tablets to unlock the door to the Temple that houses the next Ancient Key in Luma Island. There’s no real indication of where to find these tablets, and you need to solve some puzzles and fight some enemies before you can get your hands on them. Here is where you can find them all.

Forgotten Tablet A Location
The first Tablet can be found in the Overgrown Forest Temple. There are three in total, and they each act as a mini-dungeon where you need to solve puzzles and navigate some dangerous rooms to get to the end. This temple can be found on the South-West side of The Forest, in the area just before you cross the large river to the other side. From the Forest entrance, if you follow the path right and keep going forward, you should stumble into it.
To open the Temple, you need to give offerings of Spirits and some materials to the two braziers right in front of the temple. You need to complete the entire Temple in order to get the tablet, and here’s how to get through each room:

Forgotten Tablet B Location
The second tablet can be found in the Deserted Forest Temple, but to find this one, you will need to find a way to cross the river. To do so, follow the path right from the entrance to The Forest, but when you get to the river, go left and enter the Lost Forest Cave. Walk through the cave, and you’ll find yourself on the other side of the river. Before moving forward, walk around the pond and find a large tree trunk that you can push down for an easier way to access the other side of the river.
To get to the Temple, travel to the Northernmost tip of the Forest, and you’ll see the door. To get it open, you need to find bird-like statues on each side of the door and rotate them to point toward the large crystal above it. Once inside, you need to navigate rooms with puzzles in order to get the Forgotten Tablet:

Forgotten Tablet C Location
The last forgotten Tablet can be found in the Hidden Forest Temple. This is deeper into The Forest, and you can get there by finding the mud river on the East side of the Forest and crossing it. The mud will suck you in if you spend too much time in it, so make sure to walk toward the rocks and planks as you cross it. Once you’ve reached the other side, travel right to the South-Western corner of The Forest, and you should see the Temple hiding here.
To open it, you need to flip the switches on two statues nearby within a specific amount of time. To make this easier for yourself, be sure to get rid of the Mushrooms using your whip so you don’t lose balance and take longer between the statues. Once you’ve flipped both switches, you can start making your way through the Temple:

How to Use Forgotten Tablets
Forgotten Tablets can be used to open the door to the Ancient Forest Temple, where you will find some rare materials locked away in chests. Most importantly, though, this is where you will find the second Ancient Key to unlock the Ancient Temple in town.
The Ancient Forest Temple can be found very close to the entrance of the Forest. Just follow the short path left as you enter the area, and you’ll find the Temple – along with Old Man Jeffrey, who will explain a little vaguely what you need to do in order to get the Temple open. But, once you have the Tablets, you’ll be one step closer to solving the mystery of Luma Island.
