Key Takeaways
- The team behind Marvel Rivals wants to know who players would like to see added to the game’s roster.
- There’s a poll on the game’s Discord that includes nine characters as well as an option to suggest heroes and villains not listed.
- Ghost Rider is leading the poll right now with Deadpool and Gambit close behind.
Launching on December 6, 2024, Marvel Rivals full release is almost here. The PvP superhero game will have 33 playable heroes and villains on release day and it seems the team behind it is already thinking about who will join them. The devs have taken to the Rivals Discord to ask who players would like to see join the game in the future, and the Marvel characters listed might hint at who will be added to the live service game in the future.
Netease listed nine characters in the poll with an “other” option for anyone who has a specific player in mind that isn’t already listed. Unsurprisingly, since their team-up movie is Marvel’s biggest movie of the year and it just hit Disney Plus, Deadpool and Wolverine are both included. Deadpool is currently holding onto second place with 16 percent of the votes.

Moon Knight Confirmed For Marvel Rivals Launch Roster
Moon Knight is officially coming to Marvel Rivals as part of its launch roster on December 6.
Right behind him is the third best-loved character from Deadpool & Wolverine – Gambit. The character of the nine listed I’d most like to see in Marvel Rivals as I can imagine the potential mechanics and move set built on his card-based powers could be really unique and fun to use. Not to mention if there is a Gambit project in the works following the love for Channing Tatum’s take on the character, there’s potential for crossover promotion between the movie and Rivals down the line.
Marvel Rivals Devs Want To Know Who You’d Like To See Join The Roster
Everyone Go To Discord And Vote For Thanos And Gambit
You’ll have noticed I haven’t mentioned who’s leading the poll at the time of typing this, and it’s somewhat surprising, to me at least. Of the nine heroes and villains listed, with some very big Marvel names among them, Ghost Rider is the character Rivals players want to see most. Another character who’d have a very unique and fun build so I can see why 2,600 of you and counting have voted for the flame-skulled biker.
You can vote in the poll yourself by joining the Marvel Rivals Discord and heading to the polls tab once you’re in there. If you do care enough to make your voice heard and potentially play a smaller role in deciding which character joins the Rivals roster next, I’d really appreciate it if you voted for Thanos. While Gambit is my first choice, he’s doing well enough without any additional help. The Mad Titan is languishing near the bottom of the table and I’d hate Marvel and Neatease to think people don’t want Thanos in Rivals, although maybe they don’t and this is evidence of that.
Marvel Rivals is a Super Hero Team-Based PVP Shooter! Assemble an all-star Marvel squad, devise countless strategies by combining powers to form unique Team-Up skills and fight in destructible, ever-changing battlefields across the continually evolving Marvel universe!
