After a long journey through the lands of Stalker 2: Heart Of Chornobyl and making a lot of choices, you’ll finally reach the Noontide base where you’ll meet up with various former monolithians. One of these will be Prof. Lodochka, and you’ll meet him in his bunker through the main story itself.

After a bit of dialogue, he’ll have a side mission where he’ll ask you to get to the top of the Noontide base and turn off an antenna emitting Psi radiations. He’ll also ask you to shoot Kvashka, but that’s not necessarily what you have to do.
How To Reach The Antenna
Once you’ve taken A Sign Of Hope quest from the professor, you can start your journey to the antenna by exiting the bunker and heading toward the main building. You’ll find yourself on one of its roofs if you take a straight path, and you’ll also see some stairs leading up in the distance. From these stairs, you can follow these steps to get to the top:
- Climb the first set of stairs and then enter the door on your right. Go forward and down some more stairs before moving left and going up the wooden planks.
- This will lead you to some more stairs. Climb these and enter the first door you see on your right. Here, you can jump on the pipes in the middle and then the platform on the other side before going through the door.
- This will lead you back to the stairs that you can climb to the roof. Keep going until you reach some broken stairs and go around the building at this point.
- You’ll eventually see a structure in the middle with some ladders that will lead you to Kvashka. You’ll also be able to see the stairs and ladder leading you to the antenna in front of him.
Once you’ve reached the antenna, simply turn it off and you can then decide Kvashka’s fate.
Should You Shoot Kvashka?
While Lodochka initially asks you to simply shoot Kvashka in the head and end his suffering, you’ll also get a radio communication from Khors on your way up. He’ll ask you to leave Kvashka alone saying that there’s still hope. It’s now up to you to decide what you want to do with him, and the rewards can differ based on your choice.
You’ll get an upgraded detector when you head back to Lodochka no matter what you choose to do. However, if you leave Kvashka alone, you can talk to Khors about him in the base and he’ll give you an extra 2,600 coupons.
