When players first arrive in Aghasba in Towers of Aghasba, they’ll find that it’s not only barren and lifeless, but also dangerous. A bunch of spiders would attack out of nowhere, demanding players to defend themselves.
Fortunately, getting weapons in Towers of Aghasba is easy as it’s part of the main mission. Not only that, but the Unleash the Hunter Within quest will teach players the essential information on fighting and hunting creatures. All in all, three weapons will be given for free so that players can fight hostile occupants of Aghasba with something better than a simple Stone Hatchet.

How To Get Weapons In Towers of Aghasba – Unleash The Hunter Within Quest
To get weapons in Towers of Aghasba, players must speak to Hoa and start the Unleash the Hunter Within mission. To complete the warrior training, Hoa gives players a bow and a spear to fight with, and later on, she’ll also give players a sword.
If any of these pieces of equipment break, more can be crafted from the craft page.
The first mission in the Unleash the Hunter Within quest in Towers of Aghasba is to hunt two Fishes and two Skirtau. Fishes are available in bodies of water such as lakes and seas, and a lake is available right below Hoa’s location, giving you easy access to complete the task. Before heading down the lake, players should open their inventory and link the Spear to the Radial Wheel for easy access to it.
How To Observe Creatures With Shimuscope In Towers of Aghasba
To observe creatures with Shimuscope in Towers of Aghasba, find an animal and use your mouse’s wheel scroll button (R3 on controller) to activate the device. Aim the circle at the creature and follow it as it moves until the observation progress (the blue aura around your screen that gets smaller as you observe) is complete.
You can observe creatures in the ecosystem, fishes, or even monsters like the Withered Razilith. Keep in mind that some creatures move erratically, and you must be dedicated to following them to complete the observation.
For starters, the easy targets would be Skirtau and Beetlepup, although observing two fishes and two flying creatures is highly recommended to complete a mission that will pop up in the near future.
How To Hunt Fish & Skirtau In Towers of Aghasba
To hunt fish in Towers of Aghasba, players must use their Spear and throw it at the fish in the water. Go to the lake right below Hoa, and stand on the rock that connects to the land. Look down at the grass underwater, and you should see fishes moving around it.
Aim the Spear using the right click (L2 on Controller), then throw it to hunt the fish. On a successful hit, a red crosshair will pop on the water, and both the fish and Spear will float to the surface. Items obtained from Fishes aren’t useful in the early game, so make sure to store them in the Storage Box to free up your inventory space.
Players will lose the thrown weapon if they miss an underwater target.
Next, look for a Skirtau around the village or the Temperate ecosystem. The creature is small and has a brown/orange color. The animal won’t fight back but will run away upon getting attacked, so get ready to chase after it.
Hunt two Skirtau then return to Hoa to get the final batch of missions. The hunter will also explain that the act of taking lives will reduce your Amity, the opposite of restoring lives like planting Seeds, which grants Amity.
How To Defeat The Withered In Towers of Aghasba
To defeat the withered in the Unleash the Hunter Within quest in Towers of Aghasba, players must find a Withered Nest, which looks like a creepy blob of roots and red tumors. There’s a Withered Nest nearby that keeps spawning Withered Razilith, the small spiders that are roaming and attacking nearby creatures.
Destroying the Withered Nest requires a bit of time, so make sure to kill nearby enemies first. Additionally, bigger Withered Nests have “legs” that need to be removed before the core can be removed.
