As a survival-crafting game, Sengoku Dynasty features a lot of materials that you have to obtain in order to craft certain items and buildings. Preparing or gathering these materials by yourself can be a fairly tedious task. However, there is a much easier way to get everything that you need.

Sengoku Dynasty: How To Make Steel
If you want to capture high-difficulty areas with ease in Sengoku Dynasty, you’ll need to find yourself some steel.
The game allows you to set up traders’ shops in your village, allowing you to purchase many useful items from them without having to go and look for them yourself. Not only that, you can also sell the stuff that you have crafted for a fair price to these traders, providing you with a stable source of gold.
How To Set Up Trader Shops In Sengoku Dynasty
There are a variety of different shops that you can set up in your village. You can access the Trade Village Structures menu by following these steps:
- Equip a hammer.
- Open the crafting menu.
- Go to Village Structures.
- Select Trade Village Structures.
- Select Beggar’s Huts, Simple Trading Posts, or Advanced Trading Posts.
- Pick the desired option and place the structure.
- Build it using a hammer.
You might notice that most of the structures in the Trade Village Structures section are either locked behind a perk, or you will have to purchase their recipe for a price.
Beggar’s Huts
The Beggar’s Huts are the easiest trading structures to set up. These structures don’t require a lot of materials to build, and their recipes can be purchased for ten, 20, and 30 gold, depending on the structure.
A Beggar’s Hut can be placed anywhere in your village and allows a passing beggar to settle in for a season. These beggars might not have much gold of their own, but you can purchase several crafting materials from them, such as straws, bark, and feathers.
Simple Trading Posts
The Simple Trading Posts allow merchants to settle in your village for a season, but these traders also have a decent amount of money on their own, so you can easily sell them the stuff that you don’t need anymore. But, these trading posts are locked behind the Barter Deals perk, which can be unlocked from the Legend tab in the Dynasty menu.
To unlock the Barter Deals perk, you will need at least seven perk points under the Way of the Leader tab. Once you’ve used seven perk points in this section, you will be able to unlock the Barter Deals perk, allowing you to build the following types of Simple Trading Posts:
Simple Trading Posts |
|
---|---|
General Goods Trading Post |
The General Goods shop will include all types of goods and won’t be limited to only one category. |
Food Trading Post |
You can buy different types of cooking ingredients, as well as fully cooked meals, at this trading post. |
Fishing Goods Trading Post |
Fishing Goods Trading Post features water-related products, as well as fish, nets, ropes, and seashells. |
Farming Goods Trading Post |
This trading post features seed bags, tools, and other farming-related stuff. |
Once you’ve set up a trading post or a beggar’s hut, it isn’t guaranteed that a merchant or beggar will arrive and settle in it. If you can’t find a merchant or beggar in any of these trading posts, you will have to wait for the next season for a merchant to visit your village and settle in the shop. You can set up multiple trading posts to counter this issue.
Advanced Trading Posts
Similar to the Simple Trading Posts, the Advanced Trading Posts are also locked behind a perk called Trader Brokers. You will need at least 13 points in the Way of the Leader tab and will need to activate the Barter Deals perk to unlock it.
Once you’ve activated the Trade Brokers perk, you will be able to set up the following shops:
Advanced Trading Posts |
|
---|---|
Blacksmith Goods Trading Post |
The Blacksmith Goods shop allows you to purchase different types of ores, tools, furnace fuel, and other products made out of metal, including luxury products. You might also encounter a few useful weapons in this shop. |
Tailor Goods Trading Post |
The Tailor Goods shop allows you to purchase different types of clothes, luxury products, and tools that can then be used to craft your equipment. |
You don’t have to assign any villagers to these shops, as they attract traveling merchants and these merchants don’t consume your village resources such as food and beverages, so you can set up multiple trading shops without any worries.
