What Are S.A.M. Trials in Black Ops 6?

S.A.M. Trials are objectives that randomly pop up on your screen during a round, usually after round 8. Once the SAM Trial notification shows up on your screen, a location will be marked on your map in purple. The notification also tells you the name of the area to go to.

As we mentioned above, you will need to activate these challenges manually. For that, all you need to do is head over to the Trial Machine in the marked spot and interact with it.

Once players activate a SAM Trial, they’re required to complete a random objective within a set time limit. The rewards you get depend on how well you complete your objectives.

The challenges are totally random. One moment, you might be taking down Vermin, and the next, you might be killing zombies in a specific area. You never know exactly what’s coming next.

Since S.A.M. Trials pop up randomly in the middle of rounds, they also end when the round does. And don’t worry about running out of zombies to complete the trial. This is because activating a S.A.M. Trial spawns extra zombies, so you’ll always have enough for your trial.

These zombies are easy to spot because of their purple eyes. And yes, they disappear as soon as you complete your challenge.

Once players successfully complete a S.A.M. Trial, they will get some nice rewards like Salvage, Essence, and Equipment. You will need to interact with the chest with the blue gift icon to claim them.
