Never purchase a Call of Duty game expecting something dramatically different than last year, they refuse to stop producing the game for last Gen consoles, which should tell you all you need to know about what’s going to “Change” with the series.
It’s just an Annual Release game like Madden, they even remove features one year just to reimplement them and call them something else a year or two down the line. There’s no reason talking about changing the game formula, it won’t happen, people supposedly hate this about the game and they still make millions.
There’s also no alternative to this formula of game because in the past everyone decided to bury those alternative games under the rug because they sucked in comparison to CoD, meanwhile the next year CoD would steal a game mode or an idea from said game and then pretend like it was something new.
This is likely why there are no more Arcade Twitch Shooters out there anymore, they just don’t get support, even when they’re free to play.
