Love And Deepspace’s combat system is far more complex than at first glance, and you’ll need to put thousands of resources towards your combat teams to keep them competitive. But what happens when your combat team is filled with full-ranked memories and beefed up with max-level SSR Protocores?
That’s where Awakening comes into place. Awakening happens after you have fully leveled up your memories to level 80 — the maximum level. Awakening your memories gives them one final stat boost after you’ve reaches the level cap. Plus, Awakening gives you extra Affinity with the character whose memory you Awakened.
What Is Awakening?
Awakening is the final stat boost you can apply to your memories. To Awaken a memory, you must have fully leveled it using Bottles of Wishes and Ascension Crystals.
You don’t need to have fully ranked your memory before Awakening it, but fully ranked and Awakened memories have more powerful stats than base rank Awakened memories.
Memories are leveled by using Bottles of Wishes to increase their EXP. For every tenth level, you need Ascension Crystals to proceed to the next set of ten levels. You will need more Ascension Crystals and rarer Ascension Crystals reach higher levels.
Awakening a five-star memory will give you 600 Affinity points with that character.
Where Can You Get Bottles of Wishes?
Bottles of Wishes are one of the most common resource types to obtain. You can earn them by purchasing them in the various exchange shops in the store menu; as rewards for Daily Tasks, Events, Achievements, combat stage drops, through Bounty Hunts, and more.
The most efficient way to earn Bottles of Wishes is through Bounty Hunts. Heartbreaker drops Bottles of Wishes as a combat stage reward and once you’ve worked through its Bounty Hunt levels, you can sweep them for more rewards.
There are four types of Bottles of Wishes: Bottle of Wishes: N, Bottle of Wishes: R, Bottle of Wishes: SR, and Bottle of Wishes: SSR. Each one offers more EXP than the level before it.
Where Can You Get Ascension Crystals?
Ascension Crystals can be earned through Ascension Crystal Boxes and as Bounty Hunt rewards.
Three Bounty Hunt stages offer Ascension Crystals: Pumpkin Magus, Lemonette, and Snoozer. Pumpkin Magus drops Ruby and Sapphire Ascension Crystals, Lemonette drops Amber and Emerald Ascension Crystals, and Snoozer drops Pearl and Violet Ascension Crystals.
Ascension Crystal Boxes are boxes that contain one Ascension Crystal each. The Stellactrum type of the Ascension Crystal is only determined upon opening the box. You get to choose what Stellactrum type you want and how many Ascension Crystals you want to open of that type when you open Ascension Crystal Boxes.
There are three Ascension Crystal rarities: N, R, and SSR. You’ll need all three types to reach level 80.
When Can You Awaken Memories?
Memories can be Awakened once you’ve fully leveled them using Bottles of Wishes and Ascension Crystals to level 80, the current memory level cap. After you’ve reached level 80, you will receive one final Ascension Crystal requirement, only this time, you will also need to use an Awakening Heart.
You will need every type of Ascension Crystal and an Awakening Heart of the appropriate rarity for your memory’s rarity. Five-star (or SSR) memories will need one Awakening Heart: SSR, while four-star memories will need one Awakening Heart: SR.
You only need one Awakening Heart to Awaken a memory.
How To Get Awakening Hearts
Awakening Hearts are one of the rarest materials in-game and if you aren’t a paying player, you’ll have an even harder time obtaining them.
The best way to earn Awakening Hearts is to buy the Seasonal Promise’s Heartfelt Promise or Heartfelt Vow. You’ll get Awakening Heart: SSR and Awakening Heart: SR through the Seasonal Promise every season, but you can only earn it if you pay real-world money for the Heartfelt upgrade packs.
The second way you can obtain Awakening Hearts is through events and event shops. Some events will provide Awakening Hearts as activity rewards, but usually, you’ll need to buy them from the event shop using event currency.
Typically, event shops only offer Awakening Heart: SR, meaning that the best way to obtain Awakening Hearts for the powerful five-star memories is through the Seasonal Promise.
The good news, however, is that event shops don’t require you to spend real-world money on Awakening Hearts. You simply need to complete daily event tasks to earn event currency and exchange that currency in the shop.
