Should You Turn The Lovers In Or Warn Them In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

There’s always something going on in the city of Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Not only is there an Antaam occupation causing constant issues, but the Venatori have decided to make their presence known, and are working with them to help take over permanently on top of aiding the escaped elven gods.

Here is how you can complete A Hidden Hoard quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

The Antivan Crows continuously work to push both the Antaam and the Venatori out of their city, and sometimes, things happen. It seems a Crow might just be working with the Venatori, and that can’t be allowed to happen. They could spill all sorts of key information to their enemies, and it would ruin everything they’re working towards.

How To Find The Spies’ Gondola

Player Rook, Lucanis, and Davrin standing by a pile of papers with blood on them in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

This quest becomes available after you progress through the story enough to complete several key quests: the Siege of Weisshaupt and The Cobbled Swan Case.

You’ll get a missive from the Antivan Crows that tells you about the results of their investigation to signal you have access to the quest.

Head back to Treviso when you’re ready and speak to Chance on the left side of the Cantori Diamond, and he’ll tell you about the new information the Crows have come across.

Fast travel over to Streets Of Coin Financial, then head right and across the bridge to where a few Venatori are waiting.

You can head into the large building that was previously locked nearby, and use your Lyrium Dagger to unlock part of the building which contains two chests.

After you kill them, go down the stairs by the gondola and read the note surrounded by blood spatter in the corner by the edge of the water.

How To Solve The Brazier Puzzle In Grande Market

Go to the Grande Market next, and interact with the torn-up papers on the ground to the left of the beacon, then follow the trail around the corner to the next interactable spot with a broken chair.

Head through the archway and to another spot in the upper right corner with a pile of papers and a bag, next to the merchant in Crow armor, then read the note at the end of the small staircase beside you.

Now, you’ll have a puzzle to complete, and the braziers need to be lit in a certain order, based on the number of lit candles next to them:

  • First, the brazier by the performer standing beneath two purple lamps.
  • Second, the brazier next to the staircase and the woman who runs the Grand Market.
  • Third, the brazier at the end of the path behind you, next to two people sitting against some wood.
  • Fourth, the brazier at the bottom of the stairs, by the locked door.

After the last brazier, the door will open, and you’ll find another location to investigate. Leave the room, and follow the path west through the market, past the Antaam doorway, and over to the café in the corner of the map.

Deciding The Couple’s Fate

When you arrive, you’ll find a note on the ground next to the counter, and now it’ll be time to choose what you want to do: turn the couple in to the Antivan Crows, or warn them about both groups and get them to flee Treviso.

Lethal Devotion

Player Rook casting Corrupted Ground on a group of Venatori mages in Treviso in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

If you tell Chance Candide about the couple, you’ll complete Partners In Dangerous Time and get 50 Reputation with the Antivan Crows, as well as a bond increase with the Companions you brought along, and unlock a sequel quest, Lethal Devotion.

For Lethal Devotion, fast travel over to Heart and Central and cross over the bridge to the Antaam camp to find the Venatori and Crows.

You’ll have to fight against several Venatori – one executioner, two guards, and two mages – but you’ll also have a bit of help from the surviving Crows nearby.

You can get an extra increase to Lucanis’ bond if you bring him along to this fight if you’re planning to romance him.

Once they’re dead and the couple’s fate is sealed, head back to Chance and speak with him to complete Lethal Devotion as well, earning you 200 Gold, five Fade-Touched Crystals, 50 Reputation with the Crows, and a bond increase with your companions.

Warning The Lovers

If you choose to save the couple instead and leave a note at their meeting spot, you won’t get an accompanying quest, and you’ll just continue the current one and need to go back to Chance at the Candori Diamond.

Speak with him, and you’ll complete Partners In Dangerous Time. As a reward, you’ll get the same loot as you would if you opted to turn them over instead, but you won’t get the extra Reputation with the Antivan Crows, Fade-Touched Crystals, or bond increases.

If you complete the quest by helping them flee, you’ll get a missive from them regarding how their escape went as a bonus.
