If that wasn’t enough, fans also got a new pack of Vivre Cards being revealed, which gave them quite a lot of information about the new characters in the story. More recently, Oda revealed a major piece of detail about the Seraphims that, although a few fans had predicted, others are quite surprised to know. This adds another layer of depth to the Seraphims and just goes to show that they truly are the strongest form of mankind.
The Introduction Of The Seraphims In One Piece
- The Seraphims Replaced The Warlords
- The Seraphims Are The Strongest Form Of Humanity
The Seraphims were first hinted at in chapter 956 of One Piece. This was when the Shichibukai system was abolished, and at the same time, Fujitora had asked Akainu to put his faith in the SSG. At the time, it was made clear that the SSG was a new unit developed by Vegapunk that the Government was putting their money on. These were to be the replacement for the Warlords, and it is safe to say that they certainly were hyped up quite a bit. It wasn’t until after the events of the Wano Country Arc that fans got their first look at the Seraphim. This was on Amazon Lily, where the Navy attempted to capture Boa Hancock. With Koby leading the charge, along with other Vice Admirals, the Marines also made use of two Seraphims.
They are…the strongest form of mankind!! – Vegapunk
These were two of the strongest, in the form of S-Hawk, which is the Seraphim of Dracule Mihawk, and of course, S-Snake, which is the Seraphim of Boa Hancock herself. Here, fans got to see the Seraphims for the first time in action, and it is safe to say that they blew everyone away. Both these Seraphims looked just like their parent bodies. In fact, they even held similar abilities. S-Snake held the power of the Mero Mero no Mi despite not having the Devil Fruit, and S-Hawk had sportsmanship skills great enough to slice giant mountains in half, just like Mihawk.
At the same time, fans also got to see them have Lunarian features. This meant they had brown skin, white hair, wings on their back, and a giant flame. They were incredibly hard to damage, as is the case with Lunarians when the flame is burning on their back, and, overall, one could tell how these individuals were to replace this Seven Warlords of the Sea. It is safe to say that Vegapunk outdid himself with this invention, and that in the future, they are going to shape humanity, in one way or another.
Oda Confirms Seraphims To Have Haki in One Piece
All Seraphims Have Armament and Observation Haki
Fans knew that the Seraphims were always going to be incredibly powerful. In fact, Oda even confirmed these monstrously powerful individuals to hold great Devil Fruit powers. Making the use of Green Blood, they manifested incredible abilities, either that of their parent body themselves, or that of someone else entirely, as is the case was S-Hawk, who has the power of the Supa Supa no Mi, which is wielded by Mr. One. Fans knew that they had terrific Devil Fruit powers, along with the Lunarian abilities as well, however, what fans did not know is that the Seraphims have Haki as well. It has now been confirmed in the Vivre Cards that the Seraphims have two forms of Haki. All the Seraphims that fans have seen in One Piece have at least Armament and Observation Haki.
Dark skin, white hair, black wings…don’t tell me…!! – Blackbeard
This confirms that they have, in a way, spiritual powers as well since Haki is derived from the spirit. If they have their own spirit, that means that Vegapunk has essentially created humanity from scratch, and that they can truly go on to become the strongest in the future. Interestingly enough, the power of Conqueror’s Haki has not been confirmed for the Seraphims just yet, but, in the future, this power might awaken in a select few of these Seraphims.

Akainu has a very high bounty. Is he stronger than Luffy in One Piece?
For instance, fans know Boa Hancock is a user of Conqueror’s Haki, as is Donquixote Doflamingo. These two individuals are most definitely going to get Conqueror’s Haki in the future, which just goes to show that they can rival the strongest individuals in the One Piece world and might even go on to surpass them, due to the fact that they hold additional abilities that their parent bodies do not. It will be incredibly exciting to track their growth through the years, as they grow stronger. Especially because the haki of an individual grows stronger as they get stronger. The Seraphims are now confirmed to have incredible potential, and fans absolutely cannot wait to see what they will have to offer next.
Will The Seraphims Have Conqueror’s Haki?
Some Seraphims Could Gain Conqueror’s Haki
As was confirmed already, the Seraphims have now got Haki as well. Their Haki level is most likely very good already. This shouldn’t be a surprise to the fans, given that they are strong enough to face the likes of Luffy, Zoro, Lucci, and Blackbeard, among others who utilize Haki in battle. Furthermore, they can also sense things, as was hinted at in the Egghead Island Arc. Most of this implies their Observation and Armament Haki skills are great enough for even the top tiers of the One Piece world to take them seriously.
That said, none of them have shown Conqueror’s Haki or have it confirmed for them. But, that is not to say that none of them will gain this ability. As was discussed earlier, there are some Seraphims that will gain this power, as it doesn’t make sense for them to not have it if their parent bodies do. S-Hawk is another contender for a Conqueror’s Haki. He and the others will definitely gain it as well, and with all these powers at their disposal, it is not going to be a surprise to see a select few Seraphims reach the very top and be rivals to even the likes of the Yonko in One Piece.
Truly, Vegapunk was not jesting when he suggested that the Seraphims will go on to become the strongest form of mankind, which surpasses anyone in the world and will only be rivaled by a select few. So far, fans have only seen glimpses of these Seraphims, but they will go on to become even more relevant in the future as they develop their own personalities and potentially even go on to betray the World Government.
